Jor-G: Make A Move (OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO) Plus Exclusive Interview
As the closest major U.S. port city to the Caribbean Islands, Miami’s substantial Latino immigrant population has long been an essential part of the city’s identity. A diverse population, subsequent fusion of cultures and nearly tropical coastal setting lend themselves to an eclectic music scene and Latino music is the main feature.
Much like Mexico’s inevitable influence on the music of the southwestern U.S., Cuba, the Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Colombia, Venezuela and other Caribbean nations have all influenced the style and sound that comes from Miami. Blending with the unique American culture of south Florida, Miami is a place where many new and hybrid musical genres were conceives as well as may new unsigned artists like Jor – G and his break out hit single “Make A Move”
His style of hip hop is more classy and sophisticated than most, with a slick commercial quality to the sound. Lyrically, though, he deals with raw themes and tales of Miami life…
“I don’t expire / Always stay fresh”
In an era where factory line hip-hop music currently rules the roost, its heartening to know that intelligent modern rap is out there being made.
Overall, this is a very accomplished and highly enjoyable track that manages to cover as much musical range and emotional territory as you would expect from some of the majors. Jor-G has an excellent flow and writes well crafted, intelligent music and lyrics that stand out as a cut above most rap music. Deserves to make a big impact, above and beyond the hip hop scene.

Exclusive Interview:
Exposed Vocals: So tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an artist?
Jor-G: Born and raised in Hialeah/Miami, Fl. dade county 305.. & I have an incredible passion for music & the business. My life is currupted by it. Day in and day out i never get tired of it.
Exposed Vocals: How did you come up with that name? What was your inspiration behind it?
Jor-G: That’s what I’ve been called my whole life.
Exposed Vocals: What do you think about online music sharing? Do you ever give your music away for free? Why?
Jor-G: I love music sharing. I really hope who ever is reading this can hit the SHARE button as well. Always put a value on yourself. I’ll give you the song for free but let me get your E-mail. I’ll give you the song for free but hey let me get a retweet or a like. ya digg??? Don’t make your music not worth anything. It has to be worth something.
Exposed Vocals: Since everyone was a start-up once, can you give any smaller or local bands or artists looking to get gigs and airplay some tips?
Jor-G: Dont pay lucretive amounts of money for a spot at big festivals. Go for the smarter approach where you pay half for tickets to open up for bigger names and you sell tickets at full price getting paid for what you do… these promoters are ruthless. Play at open mics and showcases for free. Then once you get a following going…. do your own shows… you should be able to make $1,000 profit easily at your own show.
Exposed Vocals: Do you ever make mistakes during performances? How do you handle that?
Jor-G: Keep going play it off…half the time you’d be surprise what the crowd picks up as a mistake… they have no idea what they are in for …its all part of the show!
Exposed Vocals: Do you tour? Anything interesting happen on tour that you think our readers would enjoy hearing about?
Jor-G: Yup. I’ve gone on a national tours as well as innerstate tours. Something interesting always happens on tour, from getting kicked out of hotels, to booking a place that aint really popping… to being too hungover forgeting lyrics and having to freestyle your way out of a live performance. But its all about getting out there and making a name for yourself despite all the bullshit.
Exposed Vocals: Where do you usually gather songwriting inspiration? What is your usual songwriting process?
Jor-G: I could be any where and gather song writting inspiration. The process is listening to beats and start freestyling out loud the one that we really fucking with is the one that gets the business.
Exposed Vocals: Do you have a band website? What online platforms do you use to share your music?
Jor-G: My website is JORGMUZIK.com ….. besides that i use instagram/Facebook/twitter/snapchat/soundcloud/reverbnation/tumblr…. all @JORGMUZIK or .com/jorgmuzik facebook page is @jorgmuzikpage
Exposed Vocals: What are some really embarrassing songs that we might find on your mp3 player?
Jor-G: I don’t have any embarrassing songs. They’re there cuz I fucks with them. whether ya feel embarrased or not that’s up to you, but i will play my playlists loud with no qualms.
Exposed Vocals: If you were given half a million dollars and a year off, what would you do? How would you spend it?
Jor-G: shhhiiiiittttt… every week there be a new music video out on the biggest box on worldstar and every other platform you can think of until they got no choice but to hear me…
Exposed Vocals: Any planned studio upgrades? What are you working with now?
Jor-G: I got my own studio at the crib its decent. Got a sound booth with some Rode, Blue and neumann mics running thru focusrite mic pre-amp on a Pro-tools M-audio DAW. But I rarely use it. except if im doing little 1 verse remixes, not on my own original music though. I tend to hit up spots like the Urban Union for most of my recordings on original stuff.
Exposed Vocals: How do you find ways to promote your music? What works best for you?
Jor-G: As long as the music is getting out there and you see engagement whether 100 fans or just 10 that’s the best method. don’t go for something that sounds to good to be true. A lot websites are selling you dreams and all they use is fake views fake followers and i hate that shit. the purpose is to gain followers not act like you got followers and you just boasting with fake shit…like you got 65k fans on Instagram but only get 5 likes … wtf is that ???
Exposed Vocals: If you could perform anywhere and with any artists (Dead or Alive) where and who would it be with? Why?
Jor-G: Me & 2pac at the American Airlines Arena …that shit would be dope. I grew up on Pac, learned a lot from his music and poetry. We may not be the same as individuals, but as Artists, we have a lot of similarities when it comes to being able to write about multiple topics.
Exposed Vocals: So, what’s next? Any new upcoming projects that you want to talk about?
Jor-G: Got an EP we are trying to finish off for an early 2017 debut, and a ton of NEW videos.
