Jaime Flor – Far Enough “a powerful song, well crafted and beautifully performed.”
It’s always good to hear a band performing live to give you a genuine grasp of what they’re about and what they have to offer musically. This particular video showcases the energy of the music as loaded with good vibes, the sound is warm and as a unit the musicians play well together and seem authentically connected by the music. The live sound of the audio makes it a little difficult to detect the lyrics in this case. The rising energy of the music and the move from the verse to the chorus implies something quite emotional and heartfelt is taking place, not dissimilar to the likes of many recent soft rock or indie pop releases that use a similar sort of contrast to get their hook to hit hard.
The overall structure of this song works well and actually keeps you interested or at the very least entertained by the surrounding warmth of the music throughout. The changing sections are clear and well expressed, and even in watching the video you can see the lift that these evolutionary moments give the musicians, which, in turn, is likely to give any real time audiences a similar feeling. The more you listen, there’s a particular riff featured in this song that makes itself very familiar.
Also the verse melody has a similar effect, despite the somewhat muffled sound, the tone of the lead singer’s voice carries the melody well and floats within the surrounding instrumentation at a pleasant level. The song feels like a few harmonies or additional vocal moments wouldn’t go amiss, but if they are a fairly new bad there’s always room to add further dashes of character and passion in further live performances. It’s a powerful song, well crafted and beautifully performed.
