EnRique (Rique) Rosado is an American singer, songwriter. Born in Buffalo, NY to two Puerto Rican parents, Rique is the 3rd out of 10 total siblings, including both full-blood and half-blood. At an early age, his parents separated, and his mother moved he and his siblings down to Fort Myers, FL. It was wasn’t long before Rique got his first chance to perform, which was during his elementary school Christmas Choir Concert at the age of 6 years old. As the years passed, he got his chance to perform in numerous talent shows and competitions, both for dancing and singing.
During his teenage years, Rique majored in Vocal Studies at Lehigh Senior High School Center for the Arts, avidly participating in theater, chorus, and dance, utilizing every opportunity available to hone in on his craft. After graduation, Rique attended the University of Tampa where he studied performing arts, where his freshman year, he earned the opportunity to perform the opening number for the schools first Opera Scenes Workshop Showcase. After experiencing some financial struggles, Rique eventually withdrew from school and set forth on a path to work for corporate america, almost completely giving up on his dream. Fast forward to 2017, after a few years of working the Monday – Friday, 9-5 routine, he was fed up and desperately seeking a way out to pursue his passion again. After hearing about an upcoming audition for Tampa Bay Idol (a local competition that allowed the winners to receive a front of the line pass to audition for the American Idol Producers) he decided to try out himself. He did it! He had gotten the golden ticket to progress to the next round, however, the singers Idol journey ended there.
Using the rejection as an opportunity to reflect and improve, Rique dove full force back into music, taking every opportunity to better himself and making every attempt to turn his dream into a reality. Just months after the audition, Rique has released his first Single “Company”, which is now available on all major platforms, and is actively writing music for both himself and other artists, and is working on his official EP, expected to be released this summer(2018).
