Honesty by 3rd Twin
We welcome 3rd Twin, an upcoming underground rap artist comes from Portland, Oregon is a 20 year old veteran at producing rap music. He has performed nationally and has even been signed to a record label.
Working extensively on projects early on from the age of 12. Representing a new category in the rap game of young artists creating, developing and inventing for themselves a unique brand that industry executives are searching for. Creativity in performance and in the music that they produce. At 12, 3rd Twin began writing lyrics then a few years later. He signed with DM Entertainment at the young age of 14.
Rapping comes naturally to this rising star and he naturally he entered rap battles and won contests. Teaming up with three friends, they created their first group and called themselves Konflic. The group performed at the ‘second installment’ of Portland’s ‘only local hip hop showcase POHop2. A memorable performance as the group Konflic was the ‘youngest’ performers.
From there, the group continued to inspire young local artists to work on projects of their own. Magnificent combination of lyrical skill, outstanding energy and professional stage perfomance from an up coming artist.
The featured track entitled ‘Honesty’ is not only a jam but has a true quality to it making it a groove that is as much inspiring as it is humbling. The track speaks on some specific topics that have relative real life situation. The video is performed ‘in-studio’ and there is a section of the third verse that personally reflect the artists real life. Which gives the impression that the artist is being ‘Honesty’. This should be considered because the artists personal ecperiences are relevant to the song.
The track opens with a slightly muffled vocalizatin saying “…Its a long way to heaven when your half way to hell…” The lyrics are as serious as they come and the artist paints a vivid picture of what life is like for him.
Overall, the track has remarkable quality, the lyrics are relatable and real. The video has a dramatic effect and the on camera performance in studio is excellent. Moreover, 3rd Twin is able to convey the entire story under three minutes. With truth and very few metaphors. In fine, the track is a clear copy and listeners would be able to relate. I sincerely enjoyed listening to Honesty. Watch out for a lot more music coming from 3rd Twin in the near future.
