Hass Irv Is Harlem’s Next Leader Of The New School – New video “Geronimo”
Harlem’s very own, Hass Irv is the next to embrace the borough’s authentic trend. Harlem, NY has birth some of Hip-Hop’s favorite stars including Ma$e, The Diplomats, A$AP Mob, Dave East, Sheck Wes and more. Like many of his predecessors, Hass Irv is ready to take the proverbial baton to the stratosphere, while screaming “Geronimo!” in the process.
Last month (August), he dropped his debut EP, No Patience. The 8-track EP is a 30 minute battery pack, with replay value for recharge.
With his “No Patience” project under Asylum Records the rapper wanted to give listeners an look into day to day life in New York, with many of the videos for the project being filmed such as “Geronimo” being filmed in local locations such as The Subway, The Corner store etc.
“This was more of a run through, its called No Patience because it was less planned more of a lifestyle with “All Day” you see us on the train smoking and me and my boys were like we should shoot a video doing this. With Geronimo its just an upgraded kinda lifestyle with no patience we not waiting for things to come to us”
Harlem native but embodying his West African descent, Hass Irv has successfully captured the attention of many through his methodical approach to music, attention to detail, and connection to his energy and emotions. Born Hassan Kone to a Guinean mother and a Malian in Harlem, NY, Hass Irv, was sent to Africa as a child to be with family and tap into his roots. He moved back to Harlem at age seven, where he had to learn English and become acclimated to his birthplace which led Hassy to seek an identity of his own. After graduating high school, he tapped into sneaker reselling and music, influenced by Harlem’s rich history of music culture and fashion. Hassy’s passion ultimately grew beyond college and he decided to record full-time to explore his talents. Hassy’s trajectory landed him a feature with Rich The Kid on “Celine” which helped to create an immense following and gained the attention of several respected publications.
He embraced the rich cultural history in music and fashion of his native borough. Before he was known as one of the next leaders of the new school, he gained notoriety as Hassy “The Plug.” His uncanny ability to land exclusive sneaker releases drew no comparison. After making the transition to college, he realized his passion for music. This led to being handpicked by Pusha T for the 1800 Seconds album which highlighted ten up-and-coming artists from around the country. Dubbed the “lightning rod” by Push himself, Hass Irv continues to live up to the definition.
With a successful year in 2018, Hassy also caught the attention of Pusha-T as he was hand selected for the 1800 Seconds album. The album featured “Secrets” which highlighted Hassy ability to create feel good music for everyone while intertwining his storytelling lyricism. Continuing to build on his success, Hassy has released several thriving records as well as had “Secrets” placed on HBO’s acclaimed series Euphoria. These vast victories all lead up to Hassy’s recent signing to Asylum Records and the forthcoming release of his debut EP entitled No Patience. Hassy continues to build his brand through his passion of fashion and music that is hip hop culture and sets his sights on becoming one of the greats.
