Hallelujah by Maxwell AU Music Review
Maxwell AU a creative singer, recording artist and song writer currently residing in Windsor, Ontario Canada, was born in Warri, Delta State Nigeria he later relocated to Malaysia. A talented pianist, keyboardist and drummer, he has continued to re-invent himself. According to his bio, the church has always played a major role in his life and he has served in Nigeria, Malaysia and Canada places which have contributed to his unique vocal style, quality and ability.
Although ‘to God Be the Glory!’ Maxwell AU brings with him a unique ability to blend contemporary praise and worship into African music. Deeply inspired spiritually, he desires to also inspire others. Listeners, believers, musicians and music lovers alike. With his heart set on influencing all Maxwell AU has the desire to have ” the church and the un-churched’ to experience love, the restoration, hope and joy through spiritual worship.” Releasing remarkable and spiritually captivating singles such as “Jehovah We O Vie in October 2010 and his latest release in 2013 entitled “I Will Sing”. A song that has gained public recognition on Virginia radio stations.
Maxwell AU definetly has the wisdom to share also, he has been able to motivate believers and unbelievers and usher them into a peaceful spiritual realm that the weary soul is in desperate need of being and to provide the comfort that only the Holy Spirit can provide. Maxwell cites his inspirations and influencers to be men of God in the ministry such as Donnie McClurkin, Sonnie Badu, Chris Tomlin, Don Neon, Uche Agu and Sammie Okposo. The featured track Hallelujah features the beautiful voice of Faith Eze and the harmonious background vocals are none other than the group that Maxwell AU has founded Victorious Worshipers.
Hallelujah begins with a piano solo peaceful and mild, as it is intended to envoke the Holy Spirit which is known as a ‘still small voice’. Next comes the beautiful delightful vocals of Faith Eze, as hers is the voice of the first verse. followed by the chorus of Hallelujah repeated three times. Maxwell takes the second verse, followed by the chorus. The remainder of the song is a repetition of consecutive Hallelujah’s. As this word is a holy word and is the ultimate praise to God the Father. Each verse focuses on the goodness if the Lord and how merciful and kind He is. As in Christianity, Heavenly Father is well pleased when offered praises and recognition of His goodness, kindness, and mercy. This track brings a calming feeling and can be used in the act of worship services in whatever setting as it is meant for meditation as well. The vocal harmonies are sung with emotion and radiate sincere emotions. A definite tear bringer that would give you goose bumps when you realize the depth of its meaning.
From the onset, Hallelujah is a beautiful compilation, the soundtrack is superb, the harmony is spectacular. The track is catchy, the lyrics captioned on the video are an extremely pleasant bonus especially for those who admire gospel music and its lyrical content. Giving the opportunities to sing along and enjoy the rhythm and welcome the Holy Spirit. This amplifies the entire feeling of the track. I admire Maxwell AU for his capabilities in expressing how much the Lord truly means to him and His presence in our lives. I am honored to write this review as I am a firm believer and a Christian myself. An extremely power filled recording.
