Exposed Vocals: So tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an artist?
[FoF Lava]:
I was raised on the south side of Greenwood growing up in the mill village and not really having much growing up me and my bro lived on the back porch and later in life we moved out the city at a young age as a attempt to keep me and my Big Brother away from the violence.
Exposed Vocals: How did you come up with that name? What was your inspiration behind it?
[FoF Lava]:
My Brother is incarcerated at the moment and his 1st time hearing me rap he was like “you hot little Bro ima call you lava” so from that point on i been FoF Lava aka Volcano
Exposed Vocals: What do you think about online music sharing? Do you ever give your music away for free? Why?
[FoF Lava]:
Umm yea I give all my music for free but I save my best music for last so when i build enough buzz ill have a album ready already
Exposed Vocals: Since everyone was a start-up once, can you give any smaller or local bands or artists looking to get gigs and airplay some tips?
[FoF Lava]:
Every person you meet can play a role like that old man walkin down the street smoking a cigarette or a blunt could have a son , grandson or nephew thats a DJ or that dude you never talk to and you see him every day could be the 1 to help you meet club owners you feel me stuff like that
Exposed Vocals: Do you ever make mistakes during performances? How do you handle that?
[FoF Lava]:
Well to be honest Big Brother I only had a few shows and I tend to get to hype and make a mistake but I always bounce back and get right back and keep the crowd going . I like that shit my shows stay splashy
Exposed Vocals: Do you tour? Anything interesting happen on tour that you think our readers would enjoy hearing about?
[FoF Lava]:
Im not on tour at the moment but I should be soon but I did have a crazy moment at a show where I was performing in Columbia in South Carolina at this building I think was a club. I was in there zoned out on sum Mango Haze and I looked into the crowd and it was 2 females dancing you know drunk as fuck stripping and singing screaming my name. Shit was Splashy
Exposed Vocals: Where do you usually gather songwriting inspiration? What is your usual songwriting process?
[FoF Lava]:
I do better song writing when im in a quiet peaceful environment with nobody around me but my phone, some headphones and maybe some dope
Exposed Vocals: Do you have a band website? What online platforms do you use to share your music?
[FoF Lava]:

Exposed Vocals: What are some really embarrassing songs that we might find on your mp3 player?
[FoF Lava]:
Umm based on where im from jason aldean Burnin’ it down , I got a lil Blake shelton sum reggae in that bih and i got like 2 rock songs I play when intoxicated o yea and I got Shake it off by Taylor Swift that song splashy.
Exposed Vocals: If you were given half a million dollars and a year off, what would you do? How would you spend it?
[FoF Lava]:
I would buy real estate and a couple small businesses and stack my money up and make sure my family and my Squad straight my FoF family and the 150 squad my cousins Lingo , El Sirko and Street Money Dex they all got music as well!
Exposed Vocals: Any planned studio upgrades? What are you working with now?
[FoF Lava]:
Right now im workin with just a laptop with Mixcraft and a Gold chrome Mic I dont really know the name but im upgrading to pro tools soon.
Exposed Vocals: How do you find ways to promote your music? What works best for you?
[FoF Lava]:
Just by showing people love and they’ll support you because good music like dope its gonna promote itself no matter what
Exposed Vocals: If you could perform anywhere and with any artists (Dead or Alive) where and who would it be with? Why?
[FoF Lava]:
I dont even know probably A$AP Rocky simply because the fact he my favorite artist and we would bring the same amount of energy to the table and have the crowd on their feet the whole performance
Exposed Vocals: So, what’s next? Any new upcoming projects that you want to talk about?
[FoF Lava]:
I just dropped my debut Mixtape on Audiomack 2 weeks ago so check that out titled “Secrets on Mtn Lava” I got a mixtape set to drop in January called My Brothers Keeper” a Team Mixtape otw as well and another Mixtape in between time Im still workin on
Exposed Vocals: If you weren’t making music, what would you be doing?
[FoF Lava]:
I aint gon lie the only thing ill probably be doin is Sellin weed or workin a 9 to 5 rap is my only option
Exposed Vocals: Do you remember buying your first album? Who was it? What was going through your head?
[FoF Lava]:
That brings back memories my 1st album was a T.i Paper trail CD I did everything to get i scraped up change til i had enough to cash out for a album by my role model
Exposed Vocals: How do you juggle the rest of your responsibilities while trying to stay ahead in your music life?
[FoF Lava]:
Easy I stay focused and keep my head in the game and ball out the paint
Exposed Vocals: What should fans look forward to in the next year or so?
[FoF Lava]:
Seeing a lot of my name we got a lot of music on the way from me to Lingo to QP to Sirko to Killa Bams Dex my lil cousin bluetooth and the rest of the FoF and 150 fam. Then we got the comedy on splash with my nigga King Oct and nem and my sister asia with the singing shit.
