ABOUT US
(A native of Republic of Georgia), Anana Kaye started performing in the US upon her move to New York in the spring of 2014 and quickly earned accolades from listeners and fellow musicians for her soulful, husky voice and heartfelt delivery of songs. Prior to her move to the US, she was singing in various bands in Georgia. She has performed live on national radio and TV.
Irakli Gabriel, sometimes also referred to as “Dr. Duende”, has been a presence on NYC music scene for the last decade. He has played and recorded in several bands, notably as a member of acclaimed singer-songwriter Freddie Stevenson’s project “Midnight Crisis”, with whom he has also co-written over a dozen songs. His other collaborations include Julia Haltigan, Jacque Ryal, Emily Zuzik, Deni Bonet and an LA based band Diana. His happiest music moment is writing with one of his all-time musical heroes, the legendary Mike Scott, and joining his band the Waterboys on stage in 2012 and playing encores with them.
Anana and Irakli released “Sentient”, their debut EP of original material in 2016 to critical and public acclaim and were featured on various publications. The EP was at the Bunker Studio with Aaron Nevezie (JoJo Mayer’s the Nerve). The recordings feature Anana on vocals, piano and keyboards, Irakli on guitars and keyboards, John Davis on bass, Robbie Sinclair and Dave Burnett on drums.
Each song on the EP is accompanied by a music video, which they also directed, filmed and edited themselves. Videos were in rotation on a number music TV channels across the US.
