Exposed Vocals: So, tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an artist?
Taylor McCants: I was raised with my little brother and sister by my mom in Akron Ohio.
My family is music. In the 60s my Grandpa founded a group called The Chicago gangsters, my mother sings and performs, I have uncles and cousins in bands and they’re very talented and actively performing. Music is in My DNA. My mom and the rest of my family really encourages and supports my decision. But I still have to keep my grades up
Exposed Vocals: Since everyone was a start-up once, can you give any smaller or local bands or artists looking to get gigs and airplay some tips?
Taylor McCants: Study and learn EVERYTHING you can about the industry. Network, get a good team behind you then promote, promote, promote. Most of all trust yourself and never give up.

Exposed Vocals: If you could perform anywhere and with any artist (Dead or Alive), where and who would it be with? Why?
Taylor McCants: Well I’m just a teenage kid from Akron Ohio. I’m not really one who thinks of death a lot. I’m always thinking and imagining of how to live my best life. As far as people who have past or living there are many greats singers/performers that if I would have had the chance to work with them it would have been wonderful. Hopefully I can be a part of the people keeping the authentic feeling of RnB music going in my generation and on into the future
Exposed Vocals: So, what’s next? Any new upcoming projects that you want to talk about?
Taylor McCants: Nothing too crazy! I’m looking to stay focused this summer and work on material for you guys to look forward to. I will be shooting a few music videos very soon and working hard to prepare myself and my team for this 2019 tour.

Taylor McCants: If I wasn’t doing music, I would have MUCH more free time on my hands. I’d continue doing what I do outside of music. Work my second job, continue being an athlete doing cheerleading, track & field, volleyball and gymnastics. And of course, spend more time with family and friends.
