Exposed Vocals Just sat down to an exclusive interview with Trevellyn Head
Exposed Vocals: So tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an artist?
Trevellyn Head: I grew up in Werribee, Victoria, Australia. I always wanted to be an artist since I was a toddler.
Exposed Vocals: Since everyone was a start-up once, can you give any smaller or local bands or artists looking to get gigs and airplay some tips?
Trevellyn Head: Busk and remember that Music is a business opportunity too, the work doesn’t stop after finishing a track. Fiverr and others can be used for placements and promotions if you look right. Look right.
Exposed Vocals: Do you ever make mistakes during performances? How do you handle that?
Trevellyn Head: I’m shite scared of making a mistake why I rarely perform live. I want to though; I make mistakes on half of my tracks anyway; nothing’s perfect
Exposed Vocals: Do you tour? Anything interesting happen on tour that you think our readers would enjoy hearing about?
Trevellyn Head: I want to tour so bad, but I’m more a recording artist than live. Can play the guitar well now, and I have rapped and sung live before. Mostly in the shower though.
Exposed Vocals: Any planned studio upgrades? What are you working with now?
Trevellyn Head: a new guitar. Just a toy piano, my laptop, LMMS, Reaper and 1000 or so samples and stabs, one shots and my favourite to put crazy effects on, fx risers.
Exposed Vocals: How do you find ways to promote your music? What works best for you?
Trevellyn Head: Word of mouth, some promos, putting warts and all myself out there.
Exposed Vocals: If you could perform anywhere and with any artists (Dead or Alive) where and who would it be with? Why?
Trevellyn Head: Festival Hall, North Melbourne, Victoria, Australia with Jimi Hendrix. He’s my idol.
Exposed Vocals: So, what’s next? Any new upcoming projects that you want to talk about?
Trevellyn Head: New album called DJAY coming out in a week or so. Wait for that 22 minute mix in the middle of the album 😉 I’m taking a short break from music til end of lockdown to write my fourth novel.
Exposed Vocals: If you weren’t making music, what would you be doing?
Trevellyn Head: Exactly why I chose art, I have no clue even to this day.
Exposed Vocals: What should fans look forward to in the next year or so?
Trevellyn Head: like 10 albums.
Exposed Vocals: Any Shout-outs?
Trevellyn Head: Mural Spider, Benchod, Tim, Da Hypnotist
