Exposed Vocals just caught an exclusive interview with Daniel Hennessy

Exposed Vocals: So tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an artist?

I grew up in Brisbane, Australia! I always had a passion for music; even at a young age and as I got older I started learning instruments like the guitar, drums, piano. I used to be a drummer in a few bands but eventually I decided that I wanted to do my own work and discovered that I can sing..well at least not too bad haha.

Exposed Vocals: Since everyone was a start-up once, can you give any smaller or local bands or artists looking to get gigs and airplay some tips?

Never give up. Keep persisting with your dreams and get yourself out there and keep writing song after song- get it out of your system, because with everything- practice makes all the difference! Everything takes time but if you put in the effort you will find that things start working out.

Exposed Vocals: Do you tour? Anything interesting happen on tour that you think our readers would enjoy hearing about?

My musical journey has only just begun so I am yet to tour in the future!

Exposed Vocals: Any planned studio upgrades? What are you working with now?

I’d have to say more experimenting with different sounds at this point in time, I just composed my latest single “Never Say Never” Which will be released in the upcoming weeks

Exposed Vocals: How do you find ways to promote your music? What works best for you?

 I find Social media is the start to it all, I mean originally, I just put my songs on Soundcloud to begin with then all of a sudden they’re in every music store! So getting your music heard is a big key.

Exposed Vocals: If you could perform anywhere and with any artists (Dead or Alive) where and who would it be with? Why?

I’d definitely love to perform with Ed Sheeran I think he is an amazing and talented artist and is one of my idols. The Royal Albert Hall in London would be an awesome venue to perform at too!

Exposed Vocals: So, what’s next? Any new upcoming projects that you want to talk about?

Everything has been so fast  for me and taken off quickly so I’ll keep writing music in my spare time and keep chasing my dreams!

Exposed Vocals: If you weren’t making music, what would you be doing?

Im studying nursing at the moment so that’s where I would be..in a hospital!

Exposed Vocals: What should fans look forward to in the next year or so?

 Hopefully some live gigs but definitely some big hits!
