Exposed Vocals just caught an interview with recording artist Suelo
Exposed Vocals: So tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an artist?
I grew up in decatur,ga with my mom and 3 brothers at the age of 15 I moved to the south side where I began to really get into music it seemed like music was the only thing people in my life would support me in and it also gave me a place where I could express what I was going through in life so around 2017 I decided to take it serious because I was tired of struggling and seeing my family struggle not really enjoying or doing what they wanted to do in life so becoming an artist in my mind would change my life and the people around me lives forever.
Exposed Vocals: How did you come up with that name? What was your inspiration behind it?
Well I actual go by three names Mont’e Suelo/Money Suelo and just Suelo the reason for this is because if you know my music you know I don’t stick to one subject or genre so when you see the name Mont’e Suelo you get a more calm chill r&b pop type vibe from me on the other hand you have Money Suelo which is a more trap/hype street type of vibe from me And suelo is just my artist name period as far as the name Suelo its self in spanish Suelo means floor or ground I use it as a form of symbolism because I looked at my career at its beginning stage and I said to myself everything has to start somewhere unfortunately I had to start from the bottom and make something out of nothing so me calling myself suelo just means I came from the bottom looking for growth.
Exposed Vocals: What do you think about online music sharing? Do you ever give your music away for free? Why?
I feel like as long as my music is getting shared with the world it doesn’t matter if im getting paid for it every single time I look at it like in this day of age nobody pays for music anymore anyway you make most of your money off of streaming and performaces/tours etc… so if your music is being shared its still a win for me as long as people know who you are and still support you I don’t have a problem with online music sharing, also when I first started out I gave away free copies of my music because it was more about being heard then the money in my opinion once you get a following the money will come.
Exposed Vocals: Since everyone was a start-up once, can you give any smaller or local bands or artists looking to get gigs and airplay some tips?
Well my only tip would be do everything yourself research I promise you anything you need to promote your song or band is on the internet we live in a digital world take advantage of this.
Exposed Vocals: Do you ever make mistakes during performances? How do you handle that?
Of course I do lol almost every performance nobody’s perfect but I handle this by building a connection with my audience before I start so If I do mess up it wont be a big deal remember your having fun out there as long as you stay confident and keep the show going a little slip up here and there wont matter as much they might even laugh with you.
Exposed Vocals: Where do you usually gather songwriting inspiration? What is your usual songwriting process?
There’s no specific time or place or process I go through when creating music I just kinda let it come to me I never rush I could literally be out in public somewhere and something comes to me at that point I take out my phone and record my thoughts or a specific rhythm I have stuck in my head to later get back home and finish my writing process .
Exposed Vocals: Do you have a band website? What online platforms do you use to share your music?
I do not have a website at the moment but whenever I do the web address will be www.suelomusic.com I’m currently on all platforms Spotify/google play/iTunes etc… you can also follow me on Instagram: @Suelo_Music Twitter: @MusicSuelo.
Exposed Vocals: What are some really embarrassing songs that we might find on your mp3 player?
The only really embarrassing songs you would find on my mp3 player is my old songs from back in the day that I would not be ok if anybody heard them today lets just say The glow up was real.
Exposed Vocals: if you were given half a million dollars and a year off, what would you do? How would you spend it?
Iwould first invest and try to flip that amount then make sure me and my family are set after that part is taken care of ill set the rest of the money aside and build for generations to come .
Exposed Vocals: Any planned studio upgrades? What are you working with now?
Not really I record around atlanta in different studio’s so the only thing I would be looking to upgrade is an engineer / producer that will take my music to a new level.
Exposed Vocals: How do you find ways to promote your music? What works best for you?
Through social media and word of mouth get everybody you know to share and tag your music if you’re never heard or seen nobody’s going to know who you are.
Exposed Vocals: If you could perform anywhere and with any artist (Dead or Alive) where and who would it be with? Why?
If I could perform anywhere and with any artist it would be at the bet awards with Micheal Jackson because ive always watched the bet awards growing up seeing all these artist from Atlanta perform on there stage and for me that would symbolize that I at the beginning of being one of the greatest because all of the greats have performed on bet awards at-least once in there life and I would choose Micheal Jackson because to me throughout his career he’s changed so many people’s lives and has given nothing but positive messages in his music that left a legacy that can never be taken away so it would be an honor to share the stage with someone who has already done what I want trying to accomplish through my music.
Exposed Vocals: So, whats next? Any new upcoming projects that you want to talk about?
The next project im working on is my first album other than that ill be releasing new singles an features until the album is complete so stay tuned for that.

Yes the first album ive ever bought was a lil wayne carter III album I just remember saying to myself this rapper is dope and im going to bump this album everyday my favorite track was playing with fire I still remember every lyric .
Exposed Vocals: How do you juggle the rest of your responsibilities while trying to stay ahead in your music life?
Well is definitely tough because I still have to work a nine to five through the week and pay bills just like everyone else and still make time to work on my craft so it gets hard but I know where im headed so it eases my mind to know I wont have to do these things much longer.
