Exposed Vocals just caught an interview with Don Darrow
Rising afro pop artiste, Don Darrow, released a smashing RnB single “Lovin’ You”. Produced by one of the finest music producers in Port Harcourt named Beckyjay, this song gives a chilly feel and an instant spark to lovers ready to unite and bond their relationships.
“I’m a huge fan of love and beautiful relationships and I’ve always wanted to make a song that will depict my mentality on love,” Don Darrow explains. “Obviously, this one is heavily inspired by the song “Breathless” originally sung by Shayne Ward. ‘Lovin’ You’ just seemed like the perfect song for me to express my inner feelings to my love interest”.
He is currently making plans to drop the visuals this year as he prepares on also dropping an album after the video release.
In just under three years, Don Darrow who also doubles up as a graphic artiste and a photographer has found a way to carve a niche for himself in Port Harcourt with 6 songs and a music video to his credit.

Exposed Vocals: So tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an artist?
Don: I grew up in Port Harcourt, Nigeria. I decided to become an artiste out of passion for music when I discovered I had songwriting abilities.
Exposed Vocals: Since everyone was a start-up once, can you give any smaller or local bands or artists looking to get gigs and airplay some tips?
Don: The first thing is having quality music content and visibility. When your music is good and you are visible on the media space, getting gigs and airplays will be easy.
Exposed Vocals: Do you ever make mistakes during performances? How do you handle that?
Don: Everyone is prone to making mistakes. I had my fair share when I started performing for the first time. See your mistakes as stepping stones for greatness otherwise they will weigh you down.
Exposed Vocals: Do you tour? Anything interesting happen on tour that you think our readers would enjoy hearing about?
Don: Not really toured. But I have travelled to a few states in Nigeria for performances. I look forward to touring though.
Exposed Vocals: Any planned studio upgrades? What are you working with now?
Don: I dropped a new single titled “Lovin You”. Working on shooting a video for it before recording my EP.
Exposed Vocals: How do you find ways to promote your music? What works best for you?
Don: I make research online and I watch trends. Online Promotion works best for me.
Exposed Vocals: If you could perform anywhere and with any artists (Dead or Alive) where and who would it be with? Why?
Don: I would perform at the O2 Arena with Beyonce, Usher Raymond, Davido, Tiwa Savage. I have got deep love and respect for their brands.
Exposed Vocals: So, what’s next? Any new upcoming projects that you want to talk about?
Don: After shooting my music video for my RnB single “Lovin You”, I will start recording my EP.
