Exposed Vocals just caught an Exclusive Interview with Raven Salve’

Exposed Vocals: So, tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an artist?

I grew up in Pensacola, Fl raised in a loving home by mother & stepfather, my biological father passed away when I was 16. My mother made sure we had opportunities to explore our talents; which somehow always lead to singing and musical instruments. I took vocal lessons; piano lessons and I played the clarinet for a little while. I was destined to do something in the entertainment industry, I have always had strong, powerful vocals and trust me, my peers, family and friends made sure I knew it.

Exposed Vocals: Since everyone was a start-up once, can you give any smaller or local bands or artists looking
to get gigs and airplay some tips?

I sure would like to let start-up artist know, to learn the business; I truly believe that one of the greatest mistakes an artist (novice and experienced) make; is to not, at least, have a working knowledge of the business. Persistence is the key, always be persistent. Perfect your craft, practice makes perfect. Surround themselves with people that can trusted and know more than the artist. Finally, never give up, nothing fails but a try.

Exposed Vocals: Do you ever make mistakes during performances? How do you handle that?

I sure do make mistakes during performances, although not a lot. The way I handle mishaps is to not let the audience know that a mishap has occurred.

Exposed Vocals: Do you tour? Anything interesting happen on tour that you think our readers would enjoy
hearing about?

I do tour, so far, the most interesting thing that has happen on tour is getting the opportunity to hang out with other artist and meeting industry legends.

Exposed Vocals: Any planned studio upgrades? What are you working with now?

Currently I am working on the videos for the singles from my newly released album “Metamorphosis the Transformation”. All my fans can be on the lookout, great things are on the horizon.

Exposed Vocals: How do you find ways to promote your music? What works best for you?

I promote my music via all social media platforms. Mostly Facebook and Instagram, although Twitter is a very powerful tool. Fans can go purchase my music via my website:

Exposed Vocals: If you could perform anywhere and with any artists (Dead or Alive) where and who would it be
with? Why?

I would love to perform at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Golden, Co. I am a huge fan of Gladys Knight. Ms. Gladys Knight is one of the greatest entertainers that was ever born. She has maintained a career that has spanned over many decades and she is still performing to this day.

Exposed Vocals: So, what’s next? Any new upcoming projects that you want to talk about?

I am constantly working on new music and my team is working on a national tour so stay tuned.

Exposed Vocals: If you weren’t making music, what would you be doing?

I am never not working on music. I wake singing and I go to sleep singing. Music is always on my mind, and out of that many songs have been created.

Exposed Vocals: What should fans look forward to in the next year or so?

My fans can look forward too many great things coming from Raven Salve’ this coming year; new music, new videos, my clothing line “Verde”, plus a whole lot more. We are in the process of launching my online store: “Raven Salve’s Store”. soon fans will be able to purchase a variety of Raven Salve’ merchandise and have the order shipped directly to their home.

I most definitely want to give some SHOUT-OUTS. I have one of the greatest teams God has ever created. I would not be where I am without them. My manager, my driver, my siblings, my Mentor-Charles Geer, my PR rep, my fans and the rest of my team. I am so humbly grateful for each and everyone of them.
