Exposed Vocals just caught an exclusive interview with JameirKGolden

Jameirkgolden, is an American rapper, singer and song writer from Louisville, Kentucky. He’s gained millions of streams on Spotify, YouTube, Apple music and SoundCloud collectively on his song “Losing My Mind” and in June 2019, he released his single “Mix Match Socks”.

Exposed Vocals: So tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an artist?

I’m JameirKGolden an artist born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky and I became an artist because I wanted to do something that could make an impact on peoples lives and possibly give them hope to something they would be able to relate to I wanna make my mark on Hip-Hop culture as a whole.

Exposed Vocals: Since everyone was a start-up once, can you give any smaller or local bands or artists looking to get gigs and airplay some tips?

Honestly just go for it, if you really wanna do music practice and go for it not everyone is going to like what you release so don’t over think it just do you and release your music stop waiting and release that song you been sitting on.

Exposed Vocals: Do you ever make mistakes during performances? How do you handle that?

Yeah of course everyone does you just gotta keep going half the time the audience doesn’t even know you messed up so keep acting normal and don’t address it.

Exposed Vocals: Do you tour? Anything interesting happen on tour that you think our readers would enjoy hearing about?

No not yet, I do plan to tour or at least get quite a few shows under my belt for 2020

Exposed Vocals: Any planned studio upgrades? What are you working with now?

At the moment not right now I’m pretty good when it all comes to equipment and I have and I used a rode Nt1 mic.

Exposed Vocals: How do you find ways to promote your music? What works best for you?

I have fans promote it to friends I feel the best promo is word of mouth from a friend you trust that’s what I have all of my supporters do.

Exposed Vocals: If you could perform anywhere and with any artists (Dead or Alive) where and who would it be with? Why?

I would definitely perform with XXXTentacion aside from him right now I really work with Oliver Tree or Nicole Dollanganger

Exposed Vocals: So, what’s next? Any new upcoming projects that you want to talk about?

So I have a SoundCloud Ep that’s supposed to come out sometime in January but nothing is concrete just yet so I don’t wanna confirm any names.

Exposed Vocals: If you weren’t making music, what would you be doing?

Seriously I wouldn’t probably be here man music saved my fucking life so I gotta go hard and I don’t even know what I would be doing but maybe in college doing a 9 to 5 for a future I wouldn’t even want I wouldn’t be truly happy if I couldn’t create art that impacts peoples lives.

Exposed Vocals: What should fans look forward to in the next year or so?

A lot of never before heard music and more music focused on creativity instead of trying prove I’m the best, I just felt like that was putting me in a box when really I don’t have anything to prove to these people anymore.
