Bright Amanyi: I grew up in a community named Odorkor in Accra, Ghana and back in that community I attended the church of Pentecost and the passion for music birth out from that church. I also paly the drums in church and wasn’t really concentrating on the singing aspect until I was encouraged by a lot of men of God who saw the gift in me. So, since 2014 I decided to make a it a full-time ministry where I organise annual worship concert dubbed REFRESHING.
Exposed Vocals: Since everyone was a start-up once, can you give any smaller or local bands or artists looking to get gigs and airplay some tips?
Bright Amanyi: Be consistent, learn hard, keep pushing and best of all have passion and enjoy what you’re doing.
Exposed Vocals: Do you ever make mistakes during performances? How do you handle that?
Bright Amanyi: yes, I do make mistakes when I’m performing and it especially has to do with the lyrics of the song. Sometimes you think you know but when you singing and there’s the crowd with lights and camera it gets a bit nervous and you want to do good so you end up messing up. I make sure after the performance a go back and learn the lyrics well so I don’t repeat the same mistakes again
