Exposed Vocal:  How did you hear about Exposed Vocals? What made you decide to sign up?

(Actually I was first followed on twitter by them and they eventually contacted me asking to talk so I took this as a start I my career.)

Exposed Vocals:  So tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an artist?

(My full name is Yahshua Sean Kent-Easter, 17 years old November 12,1998, I am from Baltimore, MD grew up in foster care wanting to start at a career since my younger years and to finally be contacted about my music is a surprise.)

Exposed Vocals: How did you come with that name? What was your inspiration behind it?

(I was born with the name it’s a very important name biblically and it’s to show everybody that I don’t need a stage name to hide who I really am and to show its time for something new.

Exposed Vocals: What do you think about online music sharing? Do you ever give your music away for free? Why?

(I find the fact of sharing the music that you created yourself to spread your words and feelings mixed with a nice beat to the people that feel for music just as much as you is a great idea. It can be used as something that can help most of these successful artists out here such as myself make it to the place that we all want to be. I’ve never sold any music but I would give some out for free so that more people out there can listen to the words and the message I have to spread.)

Exposed Vocals: Since everyone was a start-up once, can you give any smaller or local bands or artists looking to get gigs and airplay some tips?

(I really don’t have any tips because I’m a start-up myself if anything I think I would be in need of some tips from a star or an artist that has either made it or coming up.)

Exposed Vocals: Do you ever make mistakes during performances? How do you handle that? (No I’ve never made a mistake while on stage even though these weren’t solo performances (school choir solo contests and solo/ensembles) I have a shaky voice when it comes to large crowds but I think I’ll get used to it as get through my first real performances.

Exposed Vocals: Do you tour? Anything interesting happen on tour that you think our readers would enjoy hearing about?

(No but touring would be such a good way for me to meet new people and to meet fans and to show what I have to bring to new people.)

Exposed Vocals: Where do you usually gather songwriting inspiration? What is your usual songwriting process?

(I don’t have any inspiration besides my life, my mind, my feelings and my voice. I won’t say I don’t have problems sometimes when I’m sitting there trying to find lyrics in my head but as the lyrics come in I write them don’t and they end up coming out to be a masterpiece.)

Exposed Vocals: Do you have a band website? What online platforms do you use to share your music?

(No I don’t have a band or a website I use online websites to make beats and a microphone to make my music and when I’m fully through I share it to Soundcloud and other websites to get people to listen to them.)

Exposed Vocals: What are some really embarrassing songs that we might find on your mp3 player? (Getting to know me you will realize that I don’t get embarrassed by the things I say or do. My music is something that’s closer to me than anyone or anything I listen to it wherever I want and use it to pick my emotions for the day or to move my feelings to another level.)

Exposed Vocals: If you were given half a million dollars and a year off, what would you do? How would you spend it?

(I would do plenty with my money but I would have to say I would work wonders in my life and reach for all my dreams and even higher.)

Exposed Vocals: Any planned studio upgrades? What are you working with now?

(No I don’t have a studio to call home yet but I will get my hands on one once I’m recognized. I do all my music in my home using a laptop, microphone and my songbook.)

Exposed Vocals: How do you find ways to promote your music? What works best for you?

(Using someone with experience and someone in the music business could get me recognized and could get me known out there as a young new artist trying to go all out in this world to show what I’m bringing to the table.)

Exposed Vocals: If you could perform anywhere and with any artist (Dead or Alive) where and who would it be with? Why?

(I don’t think I would want to perform with anyone but myself manly because I like to be the one that stands out showing the people I made it here myself out here to show the talent that I hold.)

Exposed Vocals: So, what’s next? Any new upcoming projects that you want to talk about?

(I don’t have anything right now but yeah I’m thinking about putting something together just have to get all my thoughts in one piece so I can get the results I’m looking for.)

Exposed Vocals: If you weren’t making music, what would you be doing?

(I don’t think we would have to talk about not making music because I feel what ifs don’t get you as far as you really want to go?)

Exposed Vocals: Do you remember buying your first album? Who was it? What was going through your head?

(I don’t really remember my first album but I would say Usher. Nothing went through my mind besides how good it might sound but I kind of know what you guys are asking (Did it inspire you?) No not really I was inspired way before the album but it did reach out to me to try to put even more heart into what I do.)

Exposed Vocals: How do you juggle the rest of your responsibilities while trying to stay ahead in your music life?

(I try to keep everything in a nice and well order and I make sure not to forget anything that I have a part of my normal schedule but sometimes things don’t go the way I need them to go but I always find a way to get back on top.)

Exposed Vocals: What should fans look forward to in 2016?

(Come 2016 people should be screaming my name at the top of their lungs to show me love as I show them love right back. Spreading new feelings that you’ve never felt before. As you drive home you’ll hear YAHWEH through your speakers and make you see a whole other world before your eyes.)
