LyDel “Pain City” Jones is a 28yr old artist from Warner Robins,GA but resides in Macon,GA..Started on the music scene in 2008 but took it serious in 2009.Has dropped 10 mixtapes on Datpiff, Livemixtapes and Spinrilla..Currently working on his 1st street album called “Still Standing”.Also a husband, father and brother.

Exposed Vocals: So tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an artist?
Pain City: I was born and raised in a small town called Warner Robins,GA…I decided to be an artist because my cousin saw potential in me by rappin Lil Wayne lyrics back 2007-2008, so I went for it, tried it out and I been loving being an artist til this day.
Exposed Vocals: How did you come up with that name? What was your inspiration behind it?
Pain City: My girlfriend at the time I use to always say umma take her to Pain City in a sexual way and during sex she called me Mr.Pain City lol..My inspiration behind my name is sexual to the females and being from the struggle in my city.
Exposed Vocals: What do you think about online music sharing? Do you ever give your music away for free? Why?
Pain City: I think it’s great sharing music online because it gives the internet world a great taste of artwork and you quickly to build a strong fan base as well….Yes I gave my music out for free on the internet because I just wanted to be heard and on the streets I sell my music.
Exposed Vocals: Since everyone was a start-up once, can you give any smaller or local bands or artists looking to get gigs and airplay some tips?
Pain City: Stay grinding, sign up up with BMi, ASCAP, SESAC and BDS so you can get paid for your radio spins and gigs.
Exposed Vocals: Do you ever make mistakes during performances? How do you handle that?
Pain City: I have before but when you mess up you gotta keep going and act like you never made a mistake.
Exposed Vocals: Do you tour? Anything interesting happen on tour that you think our readers would enjoy hearing about?
Pain City: I never toured before but I have performed in different cities..If you’re a new artist to scene and they love your music they gonna support from then on out.
Exposed Vocals: Where do you usually gather songwriting inspiration? What is your usual songwriting process?
Pain City: I think about where I’m trying to get to, how much money I want to make, getting my family out the struggle, feel good music and just living life.

Pain City:Probably like my old music from when I first started back in 2008 lol..I was rookie then lol.
Exposed Vocals: If you were given half a million dollars and a year off, what would you do? How would you spend it?
Pain City:I will definitely give some to my mom, buy me a car and my own crib.
Exposed Vocals: Any planned studio upgrades? What are you working with now?
Pain City: Yes, currently I’m working on studio one right now…Well that’s what I record on.
Exposed Vocals: How do you find ways to promote your music? What works best for you?
Pain City: Social Media period.
Exposed Vocals: If you could perform anywhere and with any artists (Dead or Alive) where and who would it be with? Why?
Artist: Lil Wayne, Biggie and 2Pac..I would like to perform in the biggest arena in the world with packed out fans.
Exposed Vocals: So, what’s next? Any new upcoming projects that you want to talk about?
Pain City: I’m currently working on my 1st street album entitled “Still Standing”..I been going through alot lately so umma speak on it.

Pain City: Continuing working at my warehouse job.

Pain City: The first album I actually bought was Tha Carter 4 by Lil Wayne..What was going through my was I wanted my favorite rapper to get over million sells in one week again.
Exposed Vocals: How do you juggle the rest of your responsibilities while trying to stay ahead in your music life?
Pain City: Staying focused and determined.

Pain City: More music, non stop grind and hopefully a major label offers.
