Though alternative rockers Marila Voe take influence in respect of representing their hometown in San Antonio, TX, they aren’t looking to only succeed in captivity of local admiration. Exposed Vocals: So tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an artist?
Marila Voe: We found each other by accident, our guitarist got ahold of the wrong guitarist and the rest is history , we’ll let you figure out which ones which
Exposed Vocals: How did you come up with that name? What was your inspiration behind it?
Marila Voe: Â It was a mispronunciation of the voodoo practitioner Marie Laveau
Exposed Vocals: What do you think about online music sharing? Do you ever give your music away for free? Why?

Exposed Vocals: Since everyone was a start-up once, can you give any smaller or local bands or artists looking to get gigs and airplay some tips?
Marila Voe:Â Make friends with the local bands, rub elbows and play as many shows as you can to get your name out there.
Exposed Vocals: Do you ever make mistakes during performances? How do you handle that?
Marila Voe:  Act like it never happened and keep playing the show, we’re not robots
Exposed Vocals: Do you tour? Anything interesting happen on tour that you think our readers would enjoy hearing about?
Marila Voe:Â No not yet but in the near future we plan to, and hope to catch as much of it on film.
Exposed Vocals: Where do you usually gather songwriting inspiration? What is your usual songwriting process?
Marila Voe:Â Our inspiration comes from what we go through in our lives and puts us in the mood of what we are feeling.
