Exposed vocals: So tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become and artist?
Manzomate: I was born at Thusong Hospital,Ditsobotla sub-district and I grew up at Boikhutso location, Lichtenburg,South Africa. I’m a band member at Ingoma Rhythms which is a five piece african pop band, founder at Manzomate Music productions and Entertainment (Pty) Ltd. I introduced Nathi and D-wise into music business and they are still standing even today.
Exposed Vocals: How did you come up with that name? What was your inspiration behind it?
Manzomate: Manzomate in simpler terms is ‘Man-made’ I was trying to say to people that; no matter how strong our believe in God,we still need to wake up and put in some work in order for us to make it in life.
Exposed Vocals: What do you think about online music sharing?Do you ever give your music away for free? Why?
Manzomate: There is nothing wrong about music sharing online, we do share some of our songs for free especially new group/artist’s music. People must know that they exist and what is it that they can offer. One, two or three songs for free then afterwards you start to sell.
Exposed Vocals: Since everyone is a start-up once, can you give any smaller or local bands or artists looking to get gigs and airplay some tips?
Manzomate: Yes, I always assist them where is possible.
Exposed vocals: Do you tour? Anything interesting heppen on tour that you think our readers would enjoy hearing about?
Manzomate: Yes sometimes. I’m not a party animal so I always find it difficult to go out and party after performances and artists I worked with don’t like me for that. For me is work for them is a celebration of some sort….Lol
Exposed Vocals: Where do you usually gather song writing inspiration? What is your usual song writing process?
Manzomate: Life in general inspire me to write, I’m actually the messanger. I take messages from this side to the other side. Music is the food of life and must be used positively. Music must build families, music must unite the people and lastly music must save lost souls. I need a quite place where I can talk to myself using a pen, that’s it. I don’t need a special process for me to be able to write.
Exposed vocals: Do you have a band website? What online platform do you use to share your music?

Manzomate: We’ll always stick by ‘Steinberg’ we are using cubase5 and we are still find with it.
Exposed Vocals: How do you find ways to promote your music? What works best for you?
Manzomate: For a song to play on radio someone must take it to the radio for an artist to appear on the newspaper someone must talk to the newspaper for an artist to be known someone must sell that particular artist to the people. There is no other way. I don’t wanna lie, radio works best me and my team.
