‘Gerald Milton”’ (born 11 September), is a Sound Engineer, Recording Artist & Entrepreneur From Lagos, Nigeria. He is also the CEO of Slam Entertainment.
Due to his African Influced Culture, Gerald Mlton cites his Genre of Music as “Afro Hiphop, Which is a Blend of Hiphop and Afro Beats.
He is Currently working on his Extended Play titled: “Gerald Milton EP”, The first single from the EP, “Rap Since” Produced by “Tony Ross” “Rap Since” was released on May 2015, while the Video was released November 2015.
Exposed Vocals: So tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an artist?
Gerald Milton: I grew Up in Lagos, Nigeria. Growing Up with My Brothers I listed to a lot of Rap/Hiphop Songs After sometime, I started writing Poems. Before I knew what was up. Boom!!! It became part of Me. I decide to Try it Out Myself.
Exposed Vocals: How did you come up with that name? What was your inspiration behind it?
Gerald Milton: Gerald is Actually My Name. But the whole “Gerald Milton” Name Brand Came Up when I did My First Modeling Job as a Child. My Mum gave it to me. It’s Kind of a long Story. lol
Exposed Vocals: What do you think about online music sharing? Do you ever give your music away for free? Why?
Gerald Milton: Online Music Sharing is great. It helps the Artist Connect with Fans Easily. Yes I do give away my music for free because right now I am all about creating a solid fan base. The easier the availability of your music, the easier you get noticed and build a strong fan base.
Exposed Vocals: Since everyone was a start-up once, can you give any smaller or local bands or artists looking to get gigs and airplay some tips?
Gerald Milton: Be True to Your Art. Rome was not built in a Day. Most Importantly, Network, Network & Network!
Exposed Vocals: Do you ever make mistakes during performances? How do you handle that?
Gerald Milton: haha, Yes I remember a time I was performing then I stated dancing. I almost fell to the ground. It was hilarious. I just acted as if it was part of my dance routine like nothing happened. lol
Exposed Vocals: Do you tour? Anything interesting happen on tour that you think our readers would enjoy hearing about?
Gerald Milton: As of Now I do not tour but hopefully, Very soon.
Exposed Vocals: Where do you usually gather songwriting inspiration? What is your usual songwriting process?
Gerald Milton: I write according to how I feel. Sometimes I right about an experience, Real Life situations. Most times I just hear a Dope beat and I flow to it.

Gerald Milton: I can’t think of anything for now until I see half a million dollars and get a year off. lol

Gerald Milton: Yes, I would love to get a Bad Ass Studio Mixer. Currently I am Working with a Rode NT1000 Studio Condenser Microphone, Avid Soundcard, M-Audio Studio Speakers. To mention a few
Exposed Vocals: How do you find ways to promote your music? What works best for you?
Gerald Milton: I Promote My Music mainly using Social Media. Instagram, Twitter and Facebook. Twitter Works Best For Me.
Exposed Vocals: If you could perform anywhere and with any artists (Dead or Alive) where and who would it be with? Why?
Gerald Milton: It would be at the O2 Arena in London with Afrobeats Artist “WizKid” Because He is the Baddest!!!
Exposed Vocals: So, what’s next? Any new upcoming projects that you want to talk about?

Gerald Milton: I would have been a full time Fashion Designer

Gerald Milton: The Fist Album I bought was “Jag of all Tradez” By: ”Jesse Jagz” and I was like, Damn!! This is Talent!
Exposed Vocals: How do you juggle the rest of your responsibilities while trying to stay ahead in your music life?
Gerald Milton: It’s all about discipline and setting My Priorities right. Things always fall in the right place.

Gerald Milton: A Surprise Package from Me. Might be a New Single or Video. Definitely Something!
