Exposed Vocals: So tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an artist?
[Flamee]: I grew up in Bridgeville DE my early childhood years. We always use to rap and play basketball. But I was the weakest link when it came to rap lol. So I wanted to be the best in my hood and stuck wit it every since. But I’m just now taking it serious.
Exposed Vocals: How did you come up with that name? What was your inspiration behind it?
[Flamee]: Man people always called me Lil Meek (Meek Mill) because this was when we both had the nappy braids lol , and meek had Mixtapes called “Flamers” and he use to say that all the time. So then as time went on every time somebody seen me they would yell “FLAMERS” . So then it became Flamee! 2 Es because that’s how we used to text back in the day with double letters lmao. So I just kept it.
Exposed Vocals: What do you think about online music sharing? Do you ever give your music away for free? Why?
[Flamee]: Online music sharing is whats popping!! If it wasn’t for the internet man a lot of people wouldn’t be on the scene. Feel me? So I love the online thing. All my music is free. I can’t change a person when I’m barley known. Only people that really rock wit me is my state DELAWARE! But I don’t plan on having it like this for long.
Exposed Vocals: Since everyone was a start-up once, can you give any smaller or local bands or artists looking to get gigs and airplay some tips?
[Flamee]: All I can say is Network! Push your music. Get a small fan base and watch it grow. Show people you want it.
Exposed Vocals: Do you ever make mistakes during performances? How do you handle that?
[Flamee]: I’m more of a hood person, so all that jumping and running around I don’t do that lmao. So 9/10 I don’t really make to many mistakes.
Exposed Vocals: Do you tour? Anything interesting happen on tour that you think our readers would enjoy hearing about?
[Flamee]: No I don’t tour just yet. Still working to set something up. But next year should be a BIG BIG BIG year for me. I should have the world woke by then.
Exposed Vocals: Where do you usually gather songwriting inspiration? What is your usual songwriting process?
[Flamee]: I just think ! But don’t think to much because you’ll get stuck. All my raps are about my life , stuff I been around , or thing I want ! So I don’t lie about s***. This is really me.
Exposed Vocals: Do you have a band website? What online platforms do you use to share your music?
[Flamee]: I had I website but it was to much to manage. So I just use SoundCloud and Spinrilla. You can’just type in “Flamee” on spinrilla.

Exposed Vocals: What are some really embarrassing songs that we might find on your mp3 player?
[Flamee]: None. My whole playlist consists artists form the east coast. Philly , New York , ATL , Maryland, DE … I don’t listen to west coast like that. No problem with them tho. You might catch me listening to YG , Sauce Walka … that’s really bout it.
Exposed Vocals: If you were given half a million dollars and a year off, what would you do? How would you spend it?
[Flamee]: I would have over a half a million by time that lil year off was over with. Imma hustler, not saying in a drug dealer way lol. I just like to make money. So I would basically spend it on more money if that make since to you. Lol only real n***as would understand.
Exposed Vocals: Any planned studio upgrades? What are you working with now?
[Flamee]: Working with Mxl70/70 big trynna upgrade to something to a Mac and better mics.
Exposed Vocals: How do you find ways to promote your music? What works best for you?
[Flamee]: Twitter , Facebook and Instagram .. simple as that.
Exposed Vocals: If you could perform anywhere and with any artists (Dead or Alive) where and who would it be with? Why?
[Flamee]: I would wanna perform at Madison Square Garden or the Barclay Center ! Ain’t nothing like New York. I would wanna perform with Meek, Future, and lil uzi, that lil n***a bring hella energy.
Exposed Vocals: So, what’s next? Any new upcoming projects that you want to talk about?
[Flamee]:Â Yea I got a lot on the way. I got a mixtape with FYO TRE called “FYO300”. And I got my sophomore project “More Than A Dream” coming next year. 2017 is gonna be f***ing great.
Exposed Vocals: If you weren’t making music, what would you be doing?
[Flamee]: Man idk , I can’t see myself doing anything different. I can’t stop this music thing, it’s in my blood. Basketball was my main thing but something got in the way. So you know.
Exposed Vocals: Do you remember buying your first album? Who was it? What was going through your head?
[Flamee]: The first album I bought was a Ja-Rule album. I think it was “Pain is love” lol I was born in 95 so of course it wouldn’t be no old a** rappers
Exposed Vocals: How do you juggle the rest of your responsibilities while trying to stay ahead in your music life?
[Flamee]: Like any other person. Just maintaining. Keep focusing on the prize. The main goal.
Exposed Vocals: What should fans look forward to in the next year or so?
[Flamee]: Just stick wit me and if all is well, I’ll be at the top. Just look forward to ALOT of music.
