Exposed Vocals: So tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an artist? Â
DNA$TY
I grew up in Canton, OH. I moved around a lot but I was born in Canton and lived there most of my childhood.
I became a Rapper when i moved to the Northeast end of Canton.
Exposed Vocals: How did you come up with that name? What was your inspiration behind it?
DNA$TY
I actually got the name DNA$TY before i started rapping. I got that name from another local artist. Also i didn’t get the $ sign until i went to my 1st studio in PA.
Exposed Vocals: What do you think about online music sharing? Do you ever give your music away for free? Why?
DNA$TY
I really enjoy having fans share and like my music! I believe free songs are nice and all but everyone has to eat. I just enjoy people playing my music, rather they bought it or not.
Exposed Vocals: Since everyone was a start-up once, can you give any smaller or local bands or artists looking to get gigs and airplay some tips?
DNA$TY
You have to put in a lot of work and time! Hustle, Hustle, Hustle. Really it’s not just gonna come to you, you have to go out there and get it. Connecting with people and talking with local Artists also helps.
Exposed Vocals: Do you ever make mistakes during performances? How do you handle that?
DNA$TY
Yes, we are only human. Everyone makes mistakes. You have to just go with the flow and not let it look so obvious. Pick up where you left off at and run with it.
Exposed Vocals: Do you tour? Anything interesting happen on tour that you think our readers would enjoy hearing about?Â
DNA$TY
Currently i do not Tour. But I’m hoping to start very soon! For now local shows here and there. Some out of States.
Exposed Vocals: Where do you usually gather songwriting inspiration? What is your usual songwriting process? Â
DNA$TY
Honestly the music just comes to me out of nowhere. If i really want to sit down and write i will find a quiet place and just start coming up with ideas.

DNA$TY

Exposed Vocals: What are some really embarrassing songs that we might find on your mp3 player?
DNA$TY
As far as embarrassing goes, i don’t think i have any songs that i would be embarrassed about.
Exposed Vocals: If you were given half a million dollars and a year off, what would you do? How would you spend it? Â
DNA$TY
I would take my family on vacation 1st off. I then would put some up in a savings account and also invest back into my music. Mostly i would spend the time with my family! I would probably write and record a bunch also.
Exposed Vocals: Any planned studio upgrades? What are you working with now? Â
DNA$TY
I am always looking to upgrade my personal studio. I also go to different local studios and record!
Exposed Vocals: How do you find ways to promote your music? What works best for you?
DNA$TY
I’m always looking for new ways to promote my music via web or any other way to make sure people get reached. I just share my music on different social media platforms.
Exposed Vocals: If you could perform anywhere and with any artists (Dead or Alive) where and who would it be with? Why?Â
DNA$TY
This is a hard one. I would probably perform with Kevin Gates in Georgia or something. I really like his Music as he is one of my favorite Newer Artists.
Exposed Vocals: So, what’s next? Any new upcoming projects that you want to talk about?
DNA$TY
I’m always thinking of new ideas and songs to write about. I’m currently working on a few singles and hope to have an album done soon also.
Exposed Vocals: If you weren’t making music, what would you be doing? Â
DNA$TY
I’m usually spending time with my family or fishing.
Exposed Vocals: Do you remember buying your first album? Who was it? What was going through your head? Â
DNA$TY
I honestly can’t recall the first album i bought. But i used to bump a lot of Eminem growing up!
Exposed Vocals: How do you juggle the rest of your responsibilities while trying to stay ahead in your music life? Â
DNA$TY
I honestly don’t know. It is hard but i try and balance out my family time and music time.
