Exposed Vocals: So tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an artist?
D33NO: I was born in DC but grew up in Baltimore. I’ve always loved so much about music and decided to start creating my own. Also when I saw 50 cent was recording at home I knew I could do it too! Lol
Exposed Vocals: How did you come up with that name? What was your inspiration behind it?
D33NO: At first I was just using my government name but people always had a abbreviation so I made it so people wouldn’t have to. The 3’s came from not wanting to be generic and have e’s and they are for the 3 L’s, Live Love Life.
Exposed Vocals: What do you think about online music sharing? Do you ever give your music away for free? Why?
D33NO: I think online music sharing I a great thing. I post free music to streaming sites such as soundcloud and this is because I want people to know what I am capable of and also I think it’s a great platform for artist such as myself.

Exposed Vocals: Since everyone was a start-up once, can you give any smaller or local bands or artists looking to get gigs and airplay some tips?
D33NO: well I’m not the biggest artist but if I had any advice it would be to love what you’re doing and stay away from negativity.
Exposed Vocals: Do you ever make mistakes during performances? How do you handle that?
D33NO: yes I do. It might not be the biggest mistakes but I notice them and try to correct it.
Exposed Vocals: Do you tour? Anything interesting happen on tour that you think our readers would enjoy hearing about?
D33NO: unfortunately I have not been able to go on a tour yet.

Exposed Vocals: Where do you usually gather songwriting inspiration? What is your usual songwriting process?
D33NO: I mostly gather inspiration from my everyday life or thing that happen to people like me everyday. When I’m writing a song it usually comes to me fast while I’m listening to a beat/instrumental or sometimes I just write words with no music and make them fit.
Exposed Vocals: Do you have a band website? What online platforms do you use to share your music?
 D33NO:I don’t have my own website right now but I am on a few online platforms such as Soundcloud, reverbnation, spinrilla, Twitter, and Facebook.
Exposed Vocals: What are some really embarrassing songs that we might find on your mp3 player?
D33NO:I don’t use MP3 but if you were to ask someone about an embarrassing song for me they would probably say “country girl”
Exposed Vocals: If you were given half a million dollars and a year off, what would you do? How would you spend it?
D33NO: if that was the case I would get a house with some land and put a studio in it and make music.
Exposed Vocals: Any planned studio upgrades? What are you working with now?
D33NO: I do have planned studio upgrades I’m just not sure when they will happen. Right now I’m using an outdated MacBook with GarageBand to record all of my music.
Exposed Vocals: How do you find ways to promote your music? What works best for you?
D33NO:I am always trying to learn about the music business and find out what works best but the support from my family and friends posting are helping me out a lot at this point.
Exposed Vocals: If you could perform anywhere and with any artists (Dead or Alive) where and who would it be with? Why?
D33NO: I would perform with tip ax and 50 cent at the races stadium. This is because I loved tupacs message and energy plus he went to school in Baltimore and 50cent inspired my music career so much and I’m a stadium in my home town would be crazy.
Exposed Vocals: So, what’s next? Any new upcoming projects that you want to talk about?
D33NO: im currently promoting my mixtape that just released looking to land some good exposure.
Exposed Vocals: If you weren’t making music, what would you be doing?
D33NO: if I wasn’t serious on making music, I would probably and probably still will take the necessary steps to be able to reach music and help other with their passion.
Exposed Vocals: Do you remember buying your first album? Who was it? What was going through your head?
D33NO: other than the countless albums my father had that I loved, the first one I got for myself was get rich or die trying by 50 cent. The only thing that was going through my head was amazement, the cover was so Icey and this was my favorite rapper at the time.
Exposed Vocals: How do you juggle the rest of your responsibilities while trying to stay ahead in your music life?
D33NO: somethings can feel overwhelming but I really just try to have my head clear and feel the music and even when things aren’t the best in my life music is like my escape it can fix your mood.
Exposed Vocals: What should fans look forward to in the next year or so?
D33NO: From me fans should look forward to some great visuals from my mixtape and even better music coming soon after.
