CHILAZOR is a Cameroonian rapper from the North-west region, Born on 29/11/1984 in his home town Bamenda.
He is equipped with diverse rapping skills for he blends, English, French, Pidgin and his mother tongue (Mankon) while rapping.
He started rapping at the age of 12 after being inspired by 2Pac and Notorious B.I.G
During elementary studies (primary school) he sings, dance and hit traditional drums during ceremonies.
He had his FSLC in 1998 and could not continue school, due to hardship and lack of finance for he was raised by a single parent (Mother) after separation from the husband.
He started learning furniture and wood designing in his home town while hustling (picking up waste Plastic shoes, Bottle and metal to sell to supplier of manufacturing companies) to eat and cloth.
He is a skilled funiturist and wood designer for he design woods for furniture companies in his Home town, Douala, Yaoundé and Buea, this raise fund to move on with his musical career.
In the year 2000, CHILAZOR started writing and rapping the songs he wrote and of date he has several songs such as Palmi, Queen Mother a song dedicated to his mother who passed away in 2014, One day na one day, l’eau lave maisl’agent lave plus propre and Holy Gost.
He has participated in many talent search shows like MTN Cameroon and Brasseries du Cameroun looking for sponsors.
Exposed Vocals: So tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an artist?
I am a Cameroonian from the North-west region, born on 29\11\1984 in Bamenda city my home town, during my elementary studies (primary school) I was singing, dancing and hitting traditional drums at ceremonies and at the age of 12, I started rapping after being inspired by 2Pac and Notorious B.I.G. due to hardship I faced after my elementary studies and could not continue secondary school, due to financial constrain, I want to make it known to the world especially philanthropies that absolute poverty exit and they should assist the poor promote hard word, motivate the young at the same time educating the youth on societal ills.

Exposed Vocals: How did you come up with that name? What was your inspiration behind it?
One of my furniture colic gave me the name Lazor meaning a highly force of nature, due to the way I work and do my stuff. Then [ Chi ] is are family name which means, a sound. And my inspiration behind it is to stand, protect and fight for the less privilege and against poverty by passing out my message to the world though music.

Exposed Vocals: What do you think about online music sharing? Do you ever give your music away for free? Why? Â
The world is a global village via the internet through online music sharing my message shall be easily heard and gets to the ends of the world. I do give my music for free; this is a way of promoting my musical career and music.

 Exposed Vocals: Since everyone was a start-up once, can you give any smaller or local bands or artists looking to get gigs and airplay some tips?
I will tell them not to relent their effort to practice enough before airing their music and the title should be coherent with the message of the music. They should be patient for it takes time and energy to become a popular.

Exposed Vocals: Where do you usually gather songwriting inspiration? What is your usual songwriting process?
I am inspired to write a songs base of the problem affecting the society or when confronted with.

I do not have a band website but I do use youtube, soundcloud, facebook plate forms to share my music’s

Exposed Vocals: If you were given half a million dollars and a year off, what would you do? How would you spend it?
This will be welcome, for I shall create a plate form to assist the poor at the same time search talent (art work).

Exposed Vocals: How do you find ways to promote your music? What works best for you?
I sing in talent search plate forms, bars, share CDs for free in and out my home town. Talent search plate forms do work best for me for I get audience who appraise my music I get back to me.

 Exposed Vocals: So, what’s next? Any new upcoming projects that you want to talk about?
For now I am all about promoting my music and searching for a producer.

Exposed Vocals: If you weren’t making music, what would you be doing?
I am a professional wood designer and furniture producer, I design woods for furniture producers and same time I produces furniture.

Exposed Vocals: How do you juggle the rest of your responsibilities while trying to stay ahead in your music life?
All is about planning, I design and producers furniture on orders, having a small workshop that I share with my junior brother for sampling. I rehearse each evening.

I do not drop my fans and work hard to give them the best, this year I am on promoting the songs you all know and i do have a project for next year which shall be disclosed latter.
