White Death is a Brazilian Heavy Metal band, formed in 2012 in the city of Bom Jesus do Itabapoana – Rio de Janeiro, and currently works with female vocal. The origin of the name was based on the story of SimoHäyhä, the farmer called to serve as sniper in the winter war between Finland and the Soviet Union in 1939. Simo Wore camouflage and combat techniques and became known as the white death.
The band performs a vibrant Heavy Metal, with influences from bands like Iron Maiden, Dio, Black Sabbath, Slayer, Metallica, has its own identity, with lyrics concerning social, philosophical and historical contexts, and has been excelling in the national scene. The band currently has been performing in several events at the brazilian southeast with the Uniao Underground Tour and works with a new single, which bears the name of the band: White Death (New Version). Also it’s already in the process of producing their first album, soon to be officially released.

Exposed Vocals: So tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an artist?
WHITE DEATH:  White Death is a Brazilian Heavy Metal band, formed in 2012 in the city of Bom Jesus do Itabapoana – Rio de Janeiro. All the band members were already in touch with the music scene, which was developing in the city of their origin. They developed affinities through compatible musical tastes  and after a while, gathered to do a project with the aim of exploring their own compositions as a differential in the music scene of the city, and feeling a desire to express themselves in a scathing manner against the established order in social, historical and political contexts.
Exposed Vocals: How did you come up with that name? What was your inspiration behind it?

Exposed Vocals: What do you think about online music sharing? Do you ever give your music away for free? Why?
WHITE DEATH: The band believes that online music sharing can be good and valid. The internet has become the most accessible and fast for dissemination of content and information, because it breaks down barriers, promotes greater range, in addition to a guaranteed return. During the concerts, medias are also sold as a means to generate  Fortune/income for the band but the biggest share is via internet.
Exposed Vocals: Since everyone was a start-up once, can you give any smaller or local bands or artists looking to get gigs and airplay some tips?
WHITE DEATH: Persistence, curiosity, not to be afraid to hear negatives, work hard and above all believe and have focus on your goals ’cause you only see your obstacles when you lose focus on your goals.
Exposed Vocals: Where do you usually gather songwriting inspiration? What is your usual songwriting process?
WHITE DEATH: The ideas are born individually and the band members gather from 2 to 3 times during the week to discuss about the compositions and merge their ideas. The inspiration comes mainly referring to contexts that the members are inserted and the willingness to make good music.

WHITE DEATH: The band has a website (banda-whitedeath.wixsite.com/whitedeath), where it is possible to stay within the schedule of shows and events, photographs and contact, and sharing platforms as Sound Cloud (soundcloud.com/ bandawhitedeath), in addition to a channel on (youtube.com/WhiteDeath), and always up to date with news.
Exposed Vocals: If you were given half a million dollars and a year off, what would you do? How would you spend it?
WHITE DEATH: Investment, production, media, recording a new album with major producers like Bob Rock, Studio equipment and transport.
Exposed Vocals: How do you find ways to promote your music? What works best for you?
WHITE DEATH: Today the songs are promoted via social networks and web radios, with larger social networks return.
Exposed Vocals: So, what’s next? Any new upcoming projects that you want to talk about?
WHITE DEATH: The band is in the process of production of the new album, scheduled for the first half of 2017 and in June this year, began the tour União Underground, covering the Southeast region of Brazil.
Exposed Vocals: If you weren’t making music, what would you be doing?
WHITE DEATH: The band members have interests and side jobs in areas such as speech therapy, information technology and education, but the music is the focus.
Exposed Vocals: How do you juggle the rest of your responsibilities while trying to stay ahead in your music life?
WHITE DEATH: Do the best show for the audience is always the main objective of the band, without giving up to seek the best means to that quality be the highest possible, delegating functions to producers and their team.
