July 15 1982 in defuniak springs Florida by my mother Minnie bell and father Ellis bell moved to Dothan Alabama Loving art and drawing constantly I was introduce to tattooing by a fellow classmate in job corps located in Greenville KY and my life was changed forever dealing with and seeing the street life life on a daily basis made me create my style of music composition which lead to my first studio in 2003 with my brother chill will and in that time I’ve produced over 75 songs in different genres from rock to hip hop I fell in love with music and started crafting my own music incorporating tattoos with it..
Exposed Vocals: So tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an artist?
Bell Boi: I Grew up in Dothan Alabama we call it circle city or dope town. back in 2003 me my brother And a mutual friend built a studio and the rest is really history with me making the beats and engineering all the music I fell instantly in love with learning all aspects of the music and ultimately falling in love with all genres of music from rock and roll blues r&b to country
Exposed Vocals: How did u come up with that name? what was the inspiration behind it?
Bell Boi: Well my last name is bell and I’m very proud of the name I use to go by wikkid but it didn’t seem to cut it with the people I was trying to reach out to and everyone in my city called me bell or john bell so I came up with bell boi
Exposed Vocals: What do you think about online music sharing? Do you ever give your music away for free? Why?
Bell Boi: To me online music sharing is very productive in receiving the criticism you need to enhance and make proper adjustments to your career if you want it to go further and I don’t entirely agree with giving music away for free because it is business at the end of the day but sometimes its your only choice to get you started in the right direction
Exposed Vocals: Since everyone was a start-up once, can you give any smaller or local bands or artists looking to get gigs and airplay some tips?
Bell Boi: Right now at the moment I’m still in my start-up phase and I really just want to say don’t give up take all the bad vibes and learn from them and take all the good things and grow with them and don’t ever think your better because it’s a lot of people that could easily take your place and doing what your doing so be humble and don’t stop grinding
Exposed Vocals: WHERE DO YOU USUALLY GATHER SONGWRITING INSPIRATION? What Is your usual songwriting process?
Bell Boi: Were I’m from we are in the center of racism so a majority if not all of my inspiration comes from the things I’ve been through and seen in my community and the rest is what I want from the music I don’t have the Bentleys and mazi’s at the moment but it is a dream and I just want my family to be comfortable and not have to worry anymore
Exposed Vocals: Do you have a band website? What online platforms do you use to share your music?
Bell Boi: Yes you and find me on Spotify iTunes, reverb nation ,google play, deezer, soundcloud and tidal and I mainly promote using Facebook and twitter and hoping to get more opportunities on to more channels
Exposed Vocals: if you were given half a million dollars and a year off, what would you do? How would you spend it?
Bell Boi: That’s simple in my case first of all there is no year off its invest time and were I’m from the number one investment would be a nightclub to generate more revenue for my family and produce more jobs for people
Exposed Vocals: How do you find ways to promote your music? What works best for you?
Bell Boi: Mostly I promote on twitter and Facebook by tagging and asking people to share and leave comments and I must say that twitter has been my biggest avenue for exposure a lot of people don’t believe in you but the ones that do I thank the non stop and hope it reaches or touches the next person
Exposed Vocals: so what’s next? Any new upcoming projects that you want to talk about ?
Bell Boi: Well I just released my single called took my life from my first album called tattoo and I’ve gotten great response for that and my next album I’m currently working on is called kings and queens which I’m more focused on the truth in my community and problems in America I’m not big on the bling bling but I can rap about it if I’m in that mood and if the beat causes for that tune then I can tackle it but for the most of it just be on the look-out for the group in in called T.L.M. and Nlahgang in Jacksonville FL, I know you can expect big things to come from it in 2016
Exposed Vocals: if you weren’t making music, what would you be doing?
Bell Boi: That’s simple tattooing I’ve been doing tattoos since 1999 and I love it no doubt about it at all
Exposed Vocals: how do you juggle the rest of your responsibilities while trying to stay ahead in your music life ?
Bell Boi: although it is a task I make the best of my day how it comes my way I try to spend as much time with my family and with a understanding partner in life she makes it easy to do she got my back and I got hers

Bell Boi: good quality music and a great show to back it up
