Exposed Vocals: So tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an artist?
Arnold Deep Stir : I grew up in South Africa, Cape Town in a township called Nyanga East which means “East Moon”, My friend Stallez made me become an artist actually. He’s got passion for music! I thought why not join his tale of music you see?! Well yeah I think you see!
Exposed Vocals: How did you come up with that name? What was your inspiration behind it?
Arnold Deep Stir : I was just playing around with words while I was online, and I wanted to change my name to something different, so I got a bunch of words and I decided to just add “Deep Stir” and my friends liked the name, but wasn’t supposed to be a stage name, was just being cool! But my 2nd name is Arnold though haha!
Exposed Vocals: What do you think about online music sharing? Do you ever give your music away for free? Why?
Arnold Deep Stir : Sharing online hhmmm! It is the best choice I made because our sound (My friend Stallez and I), is being heard around the friggin’ Globe and we getting somewhere, so online music sharing is great. I do give my music away but I hesitate and I don’t know why hey!
Exposed Vocals: Since everyone was a start-up once, can you give any smaller or local bands or artists looking to get gigs and airplay some tips?
Arnold Deep Stir : All I can say to them is in this generation everything is easy if you have internet and they should use social media to reach fans, they must keep pushing until they reach what they want! Do not give up! I know this “Do not give up!” word is irritating and over used it’s like a “hoe” saying “am not a hoe!”….
My point is if you push hard and ignore negative energy, you will succeed!
