Exposed Vocals: So tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an artist?

Ari3z: Well I was born in park city hospital on March 29th 1990 in Bridgeport ct were I grew up I live there for 15 years with my mother as my father left when I was about 2 years old so I guess that’s were my story really begin but as I got older I started to get in to music from what my mother told me my father always wanted to be a musician but I followed my own path and started at the age of 14 or so and it kinda just started as a hobby of mine but I was always told by my friends that I was good at it so I started taking it up a notch after that and have been doing it since then

Exposed Vocals: How did you come up with that name? What was your inspiration behind it?

Ari3z: I came up with the name Ari3z when I was about 17 or so being that I started getting in to astrology and all being the only one in my family born in March as an Aries an the inspiration behind it was my mom always said I was hard headed like a ram so I kinda decided to take it and stick with it because it was something I thought to be different and  correspondent to  my zodiac traits as a person was similar

Exposed Vocals: What do you think about online music sharing? Do you ever give your music away for free? Why?

Ari3z: I mean my opinion on online music sharing is obviously a great way to network with other artist as well as growing fan base which everybody needs you know like its one of the best marketing tools till this day and as for giving my music away for free it really depends like I said previously I only did it as a hobby but most of music is online for streaming and if any fans would like to download it for free I probably would be ok with it because that’s what it’s all about making the fans happy I mean I would like for them to be paid for instead of pirated you know but all you gotta do is ask me n I’ll be happy to give out free downloads all I ask is for a simple thank you and maybe a shout out here and there you know.

Exposed Vocals: Since everyone was a start-up once, can you give any smaller or local bands or artists looking to get gigs and airplay some tips?

Ari3z: I defiantly would like to say that hard work pays off it goes along way and if you set a goal make sure you work for it because time stops for no man eventually it will pay off in the long run and if it’s a passion for you and makes you happy then go for it I remember when I did my first gig and it was an awesome experience from my perspective an ever since then it made me wanna turn it from my loving hobby to hopefully a career but any things possible as long as you put the effort in to it

Exposed Vocals: Where do you usually gather songwriting inspiration? What is your usual songwriting process?

Ari3z: most of my inspiration I guess comes from my child hood I didn’t always have it as good as the next person. I also seen things that I probably shouldn’t have as a teen growing up in Bridgeport with all the Violence crimes and gangs I guess it affected me and made me the person I am today with a lot of emotions that I used to hold inside instead of talking about it to people I would put it to my music after the age of 14 me and my mother didn’t always see eye to eye you know so I started hanging out with the wrong people and doing the wrong things but I lean from that and made me the person I am today. I never really used to write songs mostly freestyle was my thing but then I decided to just write more about the things I see and feel on the inside just to get it off my chest and hopefully some of you can relate to it

Exposed Vocals: Do you have a band website? What online platforms do you use to share your music?

Ari3z: I currently don’t have a band website of my own but hopefully soon as for platforms I mostly use reverb nation sound cloud and YouTube at times but mostly reverb nation as I feel it’s more to help the artist with press kits and promoting music and feel free to check out my music on reverb nation as well at Www.reverbnation.com/ari3z

Exposed Vocals: If you were given half a million dollars and a year off, what would you do? How would you spend it?

Ari3z: if I was given a half a million honestly I probably wouldn’t know what to do with it but I can assure you I wouldn’t spend it on fancy cars and jewelry lol I’d probably invest it into real estate and starting up my own clothing line that I been thinking a bout doing and maybe give my mother a good amount just to show her how much I really do appreciate every thing she’s ever done for me as a single parent

Exposed Vocals: How do you find ways to promote your music? What works best for you?

Ari3z:  I usually promote it online mostly Twitter and Facebook and other social media sites as well as driving around listening to me play my music in my car just to think and see how I can improve it myself

Exposed Vocals: So, what’s next? Any new upcoming projects that you want to talk about?

Ari3z: well I I’m working on a project at the moment hopefully to have an official album coming out soon  called Einsteinium: mistaken minds of contemplations  which is basically about making mistakes in life n even tho you can’t change history don’t sit there contemplating concentrate on making your future as bright as you can just like I did I had a lot of people holding me back that I had to let go of to get were I am  but I still wanna thank them for that. But  in other words there should be a few relatable songs for my already fans and hopefully new fans to come

Exposed Vocals: If you weren’t making music, what would you be doing?

Ari3z: well I would probably be working just a 9 to 5 job like I am now just not making music  and of course being a father to my youngest son which I love so much i don’t really get to see him as much as I would like to because of work and music but if I wasn’t doing music it would be spending time with him but he’ll understand that I’m doing it for him he’s my biggest fan and my biggest inspiration to get up and work every day and stay motivated and aim for the top

Exposed Vocals: How do you juggle the rest of your responsibilities while trying to stay ahead in your music life?

Ari3z: it’s tough you know a lot of people don’t realize you have to sacrifice a lot for what you love to do but in the long run they would understand. But in all actually it like I have no time to sleep between work and music and my son so I try my best to do it all but I’m not superman you know

Exposed Vocals: What should fans look forward to in 2016?

Ari3z: first of all I wanna give a shout out to all my fans for the love and support I can’t thank you guys enough really I appreciate it to the fullest and you can defiantly look forward to new music coming out this year and also I plan on doing more shows and hopefully a tour so if you want me to hit up your city make sure you follow me on twitter for all the updates @ari3z_clark and hope you all have a blessed year and keep on grinding
