Exposed Vocals: So tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an artist?

[Stella Esmeralda]: I grew up in Cyprus which is a Greek independent beautiful Island. i don’t know if i ever decided to become an artist or if I was born to be an artist! i sung before i talk and dance before I walk so it just came naturally.

Exposed Vocals: How did you come up with that name? What was your inspiration behind it?

[Stella Esmeralda]:Stella is my main official name, Esmeralda is a nick I got from my father who likes the Notre Dame story very much and as a little girl I use to have very long hair and I was dancing with a tampurine in the hand all day, from that he begun calling me Esmeralda and so since then I do respond to both names

Exposed Vocals: What do you think about online music sharing? Do you ever give your music away for free? Why?

[Stella Esmeralda]:The things is Music industry the last decade have become very shallow. Everything is in the open, the record companies have lost the rights they use to keep and had in the past, so inevitably, some artists today do have to give their music for free. i am mostly performing in live concerts so my situation is a bit different. Of course sharing your music in the open is also a good way to be heart and more people can listen to your songs.

Exposed Vocals: Since everyone was a start-up once, can you give any smaller or local bands or artists looking to get gigs and airplay some tips?

[Stella Esmeralda]: i do know many exceptional Musicians with whom i happen to work with or collaborate with, #Martech is a person i respect for his creations though he is mostly composing Trance Music which is not so much in my field but the man is really good on what he does.

Exposed Vocals: Do you ever make mistakes during performances? How do you handle that?

[Stella Esmeralda]: haha This is so funny, well it happened, not many times thank god but it did. No tone mistakes, I confuse the lyrics but somehow i did manage to use some similar or other time from previews couplets so I did cover it 😉

Exposed Vocals: Do you tour? Anything interesting happen on tour that you think our readers would enjoy hearing about?

[Stella Esmeralda]: Yes I do tour. I had some performances in UK during the summer and now I am preparing for a concert in Germany.

Exposed Vocals: Where do you usually gather songwriting inspiration? What is your usual songwriting process?

[Stella Esmeralda]: I haven’t done much in songwriting yet, well at least not as much as I would like to do or can do, but inspiration can be from anywhere, from a beautiful flower, or a beautiful animal to a beautiful person. It could be humanity and the problems that its facing those last years.

Exposed Vocals: Do you have a band website? What online platforms do you use to share your music?

[Stella Esmeralda]:  I use much YouTube as a platform and yes I do have a website, which is under construction right now, but someone can find many information there along with many pieces of work of mine.

Exposed Vocals: What are some really embarrassing songs that we might find on your mp3 player?

[Stella Esmeralda]:I don’t have any, All songs on my mp3 player are loving ones.

Exposed Vocals: If you were given half a million dollars and a year off, what would you do? How would you spend it?

[Stella Esmeralda]: I would travel, travel around and rescue children, from war, from poverty, from starvation, from human trafficking. It is a shame that we live on a planet where on the half part there is so much waste and on the other half children are dying from starvation. And the worst is that children are used for slavery or sold for money for their instruments, as humanity we have failed.

Exposed Vocals: Any planned studio upgrades? What are you working with now?

[Stella Esmeralda]: Right now I am fully occupied to get prepared for my concert in Hamburg- Germany. After that I have some plans in mind but nothing official to announce yet.

Exposed Vocals: How do you find ways to promote your music? What works best for you?

[Stella Esmeralda]: When a concert is near its mostly commercial. People who have listen to me singing usually come to see me again and again and that is a lovely feeling. I feel honored from that.

Exposed Vocals: If you could perform anywhere and with any artists (Dead or Alive) where and who would it be with? Why?

[Stella Esmeralda]: What a lovely question, well that would be for sure Celine Dion, I admire her not only for her vocal abilities but also for the model of life she has. Family and career she is a woman to admire. Elvis! Elvis Presley would be an artist i would love to pay a tribute at or if he was alive to sing with him. Such voice will never return. Andrea Boccelli also, and from the more pop ones that would be Beyonce. Spectacular range and voice color.

Exposed Vocals: So, what’s next? Any new upcoming projects that you want to talk about?

[Stella Esmeralda]: Well as i have already said is my concert in Hamburg in December and right now it absorbs all of my time and interest. i am excited that i was invite there and I can’t wait to go.

Exposed Vocals: If you weren’t making music, what would you be doing?

[Stella Esmeralda]: Cooking! Cooking is creation and I really love to treat my beloved persons and my family with nice homemade delicious meals. And i believe i am good at that haha.

Exposed Vocals: Do you remember buying your first album? Who was it? What was going through your head?

[Stella Esmeralda]: back then it was that time that Dirty dancing was very popular! It was not an album it was a cassette if you still remember it or ever seen one. So I took the soundtrack of the film. Singing and dancing with it all day. “Time of my life” was my number one favorite..

Exposed Vocals: How do you juggle the rest of your responsibilities while trying to stay ahead in your music life?

[Stella Esmeralda]: i was blessed with 2 wonderful kids, and a beautiful family. There is always time for everything with good programming. Definitely when a concert is near my working hours are demanding and a bit odd but that is not every month or every day so when there is a will there is always a way.

Exposed Vocals: What should fans look forward to in the next year or so?

[Stella Esmeralda]: Many more concerts! All around Europe and US.
