Exposed Vocals: So tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an artist?
Sam☆Jones: I was born and raised in the United Kingdom, (Liverpool) moved to America when I was 10. Late last year I started to pursue being an Artist and tell my story.
Exposed Vocals: How did you come up with that name? What was your inspiration behind it?
Sam☆Jones: Its my real name. I dont know where the f*** the star came from lol.
Exposed Vocals: What do you think about online music sharing? Do you ever give your music away for free? Why?
Sam☆Jones: I like it im always uploading songs. I haven’t sold a music, but I haven’t even tried to sell any music. I just want to make music, learn more on sound quality and develop my style more.
Exposed Vocals: Since everyone was a start-up once, can you give any smaller or local bands or artists looking to get gigs and airplay some tips?
Sam☆Jones: Everything is social media nowadays. Just keeping editing and promoting your work.
Exposed Vocals: Do you ever make mistakes during performances? How do you handle that?
Sam☆Jones: Ive never had a performance. Alot of my work are freestyles anyway .(95%)
I listen to my music alot but I dont no all of my songs by heart.
Exposed Vocals: Do you tour? Anything interesting happen on tour that you think our readers would enjoy hearing about?
Sam☆Jones: No tours but everything I do, sumthing normaly go’s wrong.
Exposed Vocals: Where do you usually gather songwriting inspiration? What is your usual songwriting process?
Sam☆Jones: Drink a beer and look for beats. When I find a good1 and find an area thats better soundproof, ill start recording .
Exposed Vocals: Do you have a band website? What online platforms do you use to share your music?
Sam☆Jones: No still haven’t made that. Keep getting distracted.
First thing I upload to is ReverbNation. Then soundcloud next, if I remember .
Exposed Vocals: What are some really embarrassing songs that we might find on your mp3 player?
Sam☆Jones: Just random acapella frestyles, sound effects like,
(horns, gunshots, boing) thats about it. Maybe a love song im working on.
Exposed Vocals: If you were given half a million dollars and a year off, what would you do? How would you spend it?
Sam☆Jones: Give my ass sum Financial Security first, couple investments, stocks that kinda thing. Buy my mom a house, then make my own (real) studio. (No more low quality shyt)
Exposed Vocals: Any planned studio upgrades? What are you working with now?
Sam☆Jones: Hopefully. Im working on my Samsung Galaxy core prime. $10 headphones from walmart and a app I bought a while back called “Audio Evolution”.
Exposed Vocals: How do you find ways to promote your music? What works best for you?
Sam☆Jones: I just post edited pics on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook. Sumtime videos but is been a while. Idk what works best.
Exposed Vocals: If you could perform anywhere and with any artists (Dead or Alive) where and who would it be with? Why?
Sam☆Jones: Everyone on the 2001 chronic album. Cuz that album still go’s hard. IDK where . Sumwhere in Cali.
Exposed Vocals: So, what’s next? Any new upcoming projects that you want to talk about?
Sam☆Jones: Thinking of making a couple new videos, music and a couple sketch comedy. And make a couple songs to go with.
Exposed Vocals: If you weren’t making music, what would you be doing?
Sam☆Jones: If I wasnt making music and could have any normal job I would want to be a bbq or gourmet chef .
Exposed Vocals: Do you remember buying your first album? Who was it? What was going through your head?
Sam☆Jones: Eminem show and couldn’t wait to go home and play it,
I was sick of the edited radio version.
Exposed Vocals: How do you juggle the rest of your responsibilities while trying to stay ahead in your music life?
Sam☆Jones: My life is a juggle of continuous problem, thats why I make music, its a get away.
Exposed Vocals: What should fans look forward to in 2016?
Sam☆Jones: Better quality in my music, me being more dedicated and more focused to sit down and write my life down and convert it to the Rap/HipHop music we all love.
