Dreamin’ by Snake Tae – Exposed Vocals Music Review
Snake Tae aka Dionte Chambers is a young, up-and-coming indie rap artist from ‘The Windy City’, Chicago, Illinois.
However, he’s not exactly a new comer when it comes to rapping. He has quite an extensive discography filled with various themes from hardcore rap music to subtle motivating hip-hop tracks. What I found intriguing was his nature of gansta rap. It propelled me into the world of an inner city youth coming up on the streets and hoods of Chicago. It’s is filled with violence and intrigue.
A life we’re all too familiar with… hard times and suffering. He’s already got several ‘Testing the Waters’ music videos and songs uploaded to YouTube, SoundCloud, Exposed Vocals and ‘Coast 2 Coast’.
The scene this track ‘Dreamin’ starts off with is a wind instrument orchestratic vibe, giving the track a kind of classic, western-movie feel. Kind of like the ‘The Good The Bad and the Ugly’ or ‘Swag to Life.’
The melody, lyrics and storyline are consistent throughout the soundtrack giving it monotonous subconcious ‘dream-like’ ‘vibe’ a sleeping or deep thought feel. Talks of his desires are well aware. That others have the same dreams and aspirations for success and rising above the rest. He tells it like it is.
Most can relate. Snake Tae has a genuinely outstanding and unique way of getting his point across . his ability to share with listeners excerpts of real life facts that contribute to the development of his character as a man, father, student, and recording artist.
As I listened to the track, I couldn’t help but notice that as the track continued to play, it was as though a brilliant set of wheels were turning, a sort of’ change of tide for the artist. ‘An Awakening’, ‘A New Dawning’ or ‘Change of Direction’ for the artist and it’s evident with ‘Dreamin’.
…2nd verse…
…and is heard clearly at midpoint at a little over 2 minutes into the track. Its a subtle introduction into a precisely objective description and point of view. The reality of the matter, from his perspective and his personal standpoint of where his life is headed.
It’s a pretty common story of what happens when dreams come true with planning or just wishful thinking. By telling the story of how his life with his family is, the lengths he’ll go to in the act of “protect and nurture”, raise his young son and just being grateful and how and what he can do to make things better. The part he plays in creating a life for his family, having a successful life and setting a good example. An outstanding story, indeed! I enjoyed listening to ‘Dreamin’ by Snake Tae. I will be expecting more interesting storylines of real life situations and the drama sewn into his next project. Check out our exclusive interview with Snake Tae below:

Snake Tae: I heard Exposed Vocals on Twitter and I felt it was a sign from God because it came up soon as I just said where do I start. So I looked into it, liked and signed up.
Snake Tae: I grew up in Chicago’s Southside in Englewood area, but I was born in Los Angeles CA. I’ve wrote a lot of poems as a kid and always loved music. I started writing music after poetry in 2008-2009 and mostly freestyling with my family and friends mostly my whole life. I started record me and my people on YouTube. I have my first freestyle on there, my first rap, first video and everything. I wasn’t in the studio but I wrote for years. Only people that knew and heard was my family and friends. I felt I wasn’t ready to be heard yet. So I just kept writing and my life, struggles, pain, goals, passion, frustration, happiness, my son, my family, the streets, my people, and experiences etc became my music in my years of living. Then I learned and mastered myself and felt it was time now to let the world see, feel and relate to me and my music. But my biggest reason is because of my family my people and my lil brother who died is why I became a artist and push it to the LIMIT!
Snake Tae: I came up with the name Snake Tae from my family and friends. Snake came from a name I got growing up in the streets of 56 and Normal and threw out the rest of the streets from the gang I was in before and as growing up. And it was just stuck with me in the streets and to my friends. And Tae came from my family always calling me that and my name Dionte and it’s short for Tae, plus that’s always how I imagined it spelled as Tae. Half my people call me Snake and the other calls me Tae, so when I was trying to figure out a rap name my brother Reg came up with Snake Tae and I liked it because it made since those the only two names I’m known by so putting together sounds good. I’m inspired by my motivation, my goals, my family support, my people support and how I evolve.
Snake Tae: I think online music sharing is good, powerful, well needed and important. Yes I give my songs away free as a starting and upcoming artist just trying to get known and heard. I not gone charge people to hear me and never heard me. I give them the samples for free and if they like then they will come back to buy the next time when its for sale because they know of me already.
Snake Tae: Yes I can ” If you love feel, breath and only think music then it’s your passion and dream. Keep pushing, don’t let negativity knock your spirit everybody different and don’t like the same thing. Let it motivate you to better yourself and show them. Let the positive keep you pushing, just don’t ever get discouraged! You believing in yourself is the first place to start. Hard work, dedication, consistency is the KEY!
Snake Tae: I haven’t did a performance yet but I perform my song to my people and I do mess up but I just keep going and play it off but don’t let that stop me. Most likely I would do the same during a big performance but I would prepare myself a 100% first so I can avoid it.
Snake Tae: No I haven’t toured yet, but I would like to.
Snake Tae: I gather songwriting inspiration and my everyday life experience. From what I’ve seen, heard from the time I’m blessed to wake up to I go to sleep. From what I see other people going through also. I’m really the meaning of “Started from the Bottom”.
Snake Tae: I use Soundcloud to share my music to my fans. My Soundcloud name is (Snake Tae RLN). Also Youtube as well and my website page name is (Dionte Chambers and Snake Tae)
Snake Tae: None really! I enjoyed and had fun making everyone from raps to just messing around free styling.
Snake Tae: I would invest it, take care of my family, save a some and treat myself with a portion.? But mostly travel with my son, and family.
Snake Tae: Yes I’m teamed with my producer Double S and COA and we have a couple of things in the studio but we need a lot more and a lot more upgraded everything so we been saving up to buy this equipment from my other team producer Pluke Beatz who getting rid of some high definition, upgraded, high quality equipment. But we need mostly everything to start with I’ve been buying studio time from different studios but now my producer and I just rented out a spot in California for our own studio now about to start buying equipment to get it up and running.
Snake Tae: I finds way to promote my music on social networks, family and friends who know people who know people, family and friends who support me spread me around and help promote me as well. But any type of way that’s helps is best for me I’m not looking for hand outs but everyone need help starting from nowhere to get to somewhere.
Snake Tae: I would like to perform with all the old school and new school artist, women or guys, no specifics at the United Center in Chicago. Because I like all artist who strive and made it because it’s not easy and I respect that.
Snake Tae: Yes I just finish a project making my mixtape and it’s going to be called Born In Cali But Raised in the Chi and In putting the finishing touches to it now, so be looking out for it soon it will be announce and presented on the social website Soundcloud(Snake Tae RLN) Facebook(SnakeTae Rln/ Snake Tae) Instagram(@SNAKETAE056) Twitter(@SnakeTae) SnapChat(snaketae56). So listen out for me and support by requesting and liking I would appreciate that and thank you in advance if you do or don’t. And you can see my interview on the (Jonniekae.com/ c/ youtube).
Snake Tae: If I wasn’t making music then I would be doing what I’m doing now, just working, paying bills, taking care of my son, and just living the simple life, trying to survive day by day.
Snake Tae: To really be honest I bought the Drake and Future album What A Time To Be Alive and I play it a lot. All I can see is the vision of the picture they painting in the music and I can relate all the way.
Snake Tae: It’s stressful a little and frustrating but I keep praying and putting my faith in God. My belief of faith and destiny powers my inspiration. Plus writing my raps helps get things off my chest just as well as my mind. I can express myself and life through a pen and paper and mic.
Snake Tae: Fans should look forward to seeing me and my world through my music. My mixtape called (BORN IN CALI BUT RAISED IN THE CHI). Look forward to a new taste in music. A change in music, and THE NEW FUTURE GENERATION OF THIS CENTURY FROM ME AND MY ARTIST GROUP/TEAM called RLN (Real Loyal Niggas) and R.E.A.L ENT. (Realizing.Everybody.Ain’t.Loyal Ent)
