” crisp and hypnotic swagger” Theo Peppers’ Get Go
Get go is a brilliant song. A fantastic guitar riff with a crisp and hypnotic swagger grabs your attention early on, a great and interesting vibe unfolds, and, thankfully, a really interesting lyrical substance all of which makes for something undeniably refreshing and enjoyable to listen to.
The video opens up with a slow motion Lambourgini arrival, which at first triggered memories of many, many pop and r&b songs that start in a similar way, but fortunately the leading artist quickly presents audiences with a fairly alternative concept, as well as a pleasant and fairly unique singing voice and vocal rhythm. There are a lot of lyrics in the song, so the rhythm is important, and the melody works brilliantly alongside of this, it also pairs up superbly with that guitar riff. On top of all of this, the piano part is sublime. It’s lightly haunting and significantly thought provoking. There’s a sense of life passing by in a haze within the music, which represents a big part of the song’s context in a clever way.
The leading artist is appealing as a musician and writer in a number of ways. The storytelling is fresh and unusual, the sound is addictive rhythmically, in the calming vocal presentation, in the lightness and how this contrasts effectively with the darkness. The video also let’s audiences get a good idea of what it’s all about, what the artist represents, how his lyrics and his thought process are reflected in the visual storyline, and it all leaves a strong lasting impression.

It’s a brilliant song, a lot of character comes through and, as mentioned, it’s hugely refreshing.
There is so much creativity in the musicality, in the lines, and in the performances. The artist has something new, and that’s greatly valuable. Hopefully there’s a lot more music to look forward to.
