Check out Mickey Ruption’s new release, “Rise And Shine.”
An extremely talented vocalist, Mickey Ruption’s first exposure to the music industry began with “Jump In The Pool,” a critically acclaimed single featuring Mickey in a duet with the Jamaican toaster Busta Livingstone, who happens to be Mickey’s cousin.
The session was intended a be a one-off, but the producers of the single were so impressed by Mickey that they urged him to record more, and were surprised to learn that Mickey had been stockpiling demos since he was a teenager, with surely enough tunes to make an album, or two. The resulting “Life Is A Carnival,” collects 15 of Mickey’s compositions, finally brought to life in a professional studio.
Well worth the wait, the new album is destined to bring the talents of Mickey Ruption to a much wider audience. One of the standout tracks from the album, the infectious “Rise And Shine,” becomes the second single to be released and is presented here featuring the album version and three more exclusive mixes.
