Bronx-bred rapper Austin Sour releases his new single and video, “95 Mike”. Austin first began to receive recognition following the release of his well received EP, The Moonchild, in 2016, and most recently his critically acclaimed Ghetto Casino EP which dropped last year. Get ready for new music from Austin coming soon.
New York rapper Austin Sour first entered a recording studio at 14 years old and knew right then and there what path his life was going to take. “I make music because I fell in love with it the day I first went into the studio,” he says. “It’s gotten me through every situation I’ve ever been through.”
Born and raised in the south Bronx, the Puerto Rican New Yorker escaped from his rough upbringing by diving into music. Growing up first by 174th and Commonwealth before his family moved to the Parkside Projects in Allerton, he focused on music to see him through the tough times. He began rapping at 14 right after that fateful day entering the studio, and looked to his influences like Tupac, Jay-Z, 50 Cent, Nipsey Hussle, TDE (Top Dawg Ent.), Mozzy, Freddie Gibbs, and more.
Austin released his well-received EP, The Moonchild EP, in 2016, and his top selling EP Ghetto Casino last year. Now with eOne, Austin is set to release his first track with the label,“95 Mike,” while he preps his next EP.
