Countless hip-hop heavyweights hail from Brooklyn…
From The Notorious B.I.G. and JAY-Z to Busta Rhymes, Kings County boasts arguably the most unimpeachable track record in rap-rivaled only by Compton on the other side of the country. However, the city keeps putting on talent nearly three decades removed from the birth of hip-hop. Enter Bleezy. With his unmistakable cadence, bulletproof flow, and knack for an airtight hook, he quietly rose up as an independent force and one of the Borough’s 21st century torchbearers. With millions of views and streams under his belt, he stands poised to ignite a new era for the East Coast with both his music and movement D.O.D. (Definition of Dreams).
Following multiple deaths in his family and a period of intense hardship, he focused on his own dream inspired by the likes of Big, HOV, and Young Thug during 2014. Turning heads straight out of the gate, he dropped the breakout viral single “Kyrie Irving,” which clocked over 1 million cumulative views and paved the way for his 2015 debut mixtape D.O.D. Vol. 1-released via Team80. New York luminaries such as Maino and Uncle Murda blessed the high-profile remix as two more mixtapes-New Crack City [2016] and Black Christmas [2017]-further elevated his profile. At the same time, he became a force of nature on stage with explosive performances in New York City, Atlanta, Washington, D.C. and at Break The Internet Fest.
As he prepares more music for 2018, Bleezy represents the next generation of Brooklyn rap, and he’s doing the legacy of his hometown very proud.
Since 2008, I've been passionately dedicated to fostering unsigned artists through ExposedVocals.com. Over nearly 15 years, my mission has evolved from creating a platform to immersing myself in the world of independent musicians. Beyond showcasing music videos, I delve into undiscovered talent with music reviews, aiming not just to display but to understand, appreciate, and amplify their voices. Additionally, I've had the privilege of interviewing music industry legends, bringing their insights to unsigned artists globally. My overarching goal is to bridge gaps, provide invaluable knowledge, and empower the next generation of musical trailblazers.
