André 3000 Teases Collaboration with SAULT: A Glimpse into the Studio Sessions
André 3000 recently revealed in an interview on BBC Radio 6 Music that he’s collaborated with the mysterious collective SAULT. During the discussion, André Benjamin mentioned how he was introduced to SAULT during their secretive phase by a musician friend. He shared his experience of hanging out with them in the studio in Los Angeles, where they played around with music.
When asked if he had recorded any music with SAULT, André 3000 mentioned that fans could look forward to it in the future. He expressed the possibility of traveling to London to work with them in the studio. Although they’ve already spent time together in the studio in LA, André hinted at the potential for a more substantial collaboration.
This news comes as André 3000 discussed his debut solo album, ‘New Blue Sun,’ released in November, which notably features minimalist and experimental flute music without any rapping. Regarding the chance of new OutKast music, he expressed his desire for the duo to create another album, indicating interest in a musical comeback.
OutKast’s last studio album, ‘Idlewild,’ was released in 2006, and the duo reunited for performances at Coachella in 2014 and a subsequent comeback tour. Meanwhile, SAULT, known for their immersive live performances, recently showcased their debut live show in London on December 14. They have hinted at upcoming concerts featuring different albums in various locations around the world, showcasing their diverse discography.
