Exposed Vocals Interviews FYO Tre
Exposed Vocals: So tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an artist?
FYO Tre: I grew up in Delaware. Slower Lower Delaware to be exact. Where im from we automatically get over looked because were so small and everything comes to us late. Thus the name Slower Lower. I was originally a Dj since 2011, where i learned from DJ Flow who is now Shy Glizzy’s Official DJ, in Baltimore attending college at Morgan State. I Dj’d for a few signed artist until the fall of 2015 and gained some notoriety for my DJ abilities. I seen thar my success would be based off the actions of whether these niggas wanna act dumb one day and get sent to jail or WORK MINDED. So the only way was to control my own destiny and start writing my own music. I always knew how to make beats, and always wrote raps when I was younger. Matter fact I got in trouble in 8th grade for writing raps at a predominately white school lol. My momma was pissed !! I eventually bought my own equipment with some old friends to start a group called FYO but shit got shakey wit dem and i continued by myself. Side Note: I still DJ VERY WELL so DJ’s if you trynna battle I RUN FROM NO WRECK LOL
Exposed Vocals: How did you come up with that name? What was your inspiration behind it?
FYO Tre: Well my Dj name was Tre The Dj, and Tre comes from my middle name Tre’Vonn. When i stopped DJ’n I dropped “The DJ” and added FYO !!

Exposed Vocals: Since everyone was a start-up once, can you give any smaller or local bands or artists looking to get gigs and airplay some tips?
