Exposed Vocals: So tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an artist?
“Fagasty” is my Artist name. My Real name is Kwame Boateng. i was born in Ghana but raised in the bronx. i love to rap, play soccer and hang out with friends. Am in college now thus Binghamton University doing Biochemistry. what made me to become an artist is because i have the talent and i want viewers to hear from me.
Exposed Vocals: How did you come up with that name? What was your inspiration behind it?
“Fagasty”. i came up with this name because it motivate me to inspire others.
Exposed Vocals: What do you think about online music sharing? Do you ever give your music away for free? Why?
“Fagasty” i think online music sharing is something that can reach out to viewers to have a feel of your song and also make you famous. i wish i could give my music for free but sometimes the effort that you put must come out with an input.
Exposed Vocals: Since everyone was a start-up once, can you give any smaller or local bands or artists looking to get gigs and airplay some tips?
“Fagasty” yes i can give an artist looking to get gigs and airplay some tips.
Exposed Vocals: Do you ever make mistakes during performances? How do you handle that?
“Fagasty”. we all sometimes make mistake but i have never encounter any mistake so far. if that occur, i will continue rapping and make it look like it was never a mistake.
Exposed Vocals: Do you tour? Anything interesting happen on tour that you think our readers would enjoy hearing about?
“Fagasty”. yes i do tour to different state to rap and perform on occasion like christmas, thanksgiving, summer and any available holidays. The interesting part is that, after performing funs come along taking picture with me or selfie as well. Even in my college i experience that a lot.
Exposed Vocals: Where do you usually gather songwriting inspiration? What is your usual songwriting process?Â
“Fagasty”. i usually get my songwriting experience from different variety of rappers. In effect, this enable me to get more experience. In my songwriting process, i move along with the beat.
Exposed Vocals: Do you have a band website? What online platforms do you use to share your music?
“Fagasty”. yea i do have a band with my boys thus Punchlines, Sebass, and Red Nation. i use youtube to share my musics.
Exposed Vocals: What are some really embarrassing songs that we might find on your mp3 player?
“Fagasty”. “Am a Student”.
Exposed Vocals: If you were given half a million dollars and a year off, what would you do? How would you spend it?
“Fagasty”. save some money, buy a house, and a car. i will spend that money only when i need it for big project towards my music career.
Exposed Vocals: Any planned studio upgrades? What are you working with now?
“Fagasty” i don’t have my studio yet. am looking for producers,songwriters and investors who are willing to help me be famous. Right now am working on getting a producer and also investor who is ready to work with me.
Exposed Vocals: How do you find ways to promote your music? What works best for you?
“Fagasty” i share them on social media such as Facebook, ig, twitter, and snapchat. all works for me.
Exposed Vocals: If you could perform anywhere and with any artists (Dead or Alive) where and who would it be with? Why?
“Fagasty”. i will like to perform in California. i would love to perform with drake because he got the talent and he is famous.
Exposed Vocals: So, what’s next? Any new upcoming projects that you want to talk about?
“Fagasty”. i working with my boys now to come up with our latest track and also shoot a video for the song.
Exposed Vocals: If you weren’t making music, what would you be doing?
“Fagasty” maybe playing soccer.
Exposed Vocals: Do you remember buying your first album? Who was it? What was going through your head?
“Fagasty”. i haven’t yet start selling my music out because i need someone who can make me reach that level.
Exposed Vocals: How do you juggle the rest of your responsibilities while trying to stay ahead in your music life?
“Fagasty”. i try to make sure i balance my time in what ever am doing.
Exposed Vocals: What should fans look forward to in the next year or so?
“Fagasty”. all i want to tell my funs is, i just started and i need their support and love in other to push me far.
