Exposed Vocals Interviews Bonaducci
Exposed Vocals: So tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an artist?
Bonaducci : I was born and raised in Norfolk Virginia. I moved around a lot you know my grandmother took me and my 3 siblings in along with her two and raised us until she passed away when I was 15 . It was kinda natural . Becoming an artist . I use to freestyle with my big brother and his friends and they encouraged me to keep going . And I just kept going lol .
Exposed Vocals: How did you come up with that name? What was your inspiration behind it?
Bonaducci : funny story actually . My freshman year in high school there was this girl named Morgan Buonanduci . I was fascinated with her last name I’d call her that all the time and she’d ask “why do you keep calling me that ?” I’d respond with idk I just like it and she said use it as your rap name . And I ran wth that too and just changed it to a more pronounceable arrangement of letters lol people loved the sound of it . She told me when I make it to just pay homage .
Exposed Vocals: What do you think about online music sharing? Do you ever give your music away for free? Why?
Bonaducci : I definitely think that online music sharing is definitely crucial to the success or downfall of an upcoming artist . I feel it is essential to give away free music . Nobody knows who I am at this point or what I stand for so I wouldn’t expect anyone to buy my music just like I wouldn’t buy anyone else’s music I couldn’t at least get a feel for through samples .
Exposed Vocals: Where do you usually gather songwriting inspiration? What is your usual songwriting process?
Bonaducci : My inspiration comes from a good beat but most of the time my inspiration is life , breakups , mistakes , memories, demons all sorts of things we encounter on an everyday bases in life . Most of the time I’ll write a verse and keep going over it re rapping it and I’ll catch mistakes or ways it could be better . Some times I’ll rap it to trusted companions and watch their facial expressions if it isn’t like wow how’d you think of that , I’ll re write it or try to critique it to be better . All depends on my mood .
Exposed Vocals: Do you have a band website? What online platforms do you use to share your music?
Bonaducci: at this moment I’m mainly on YouTube doing popular song covers . Right now I’m focusing on my priorities once I get those straight I’ll be able to bring you guys Bonaducci full effect. I have a website where some of my music was posted it’s on reverbnation.com . On YouTube and Reverbnation just type in Bonaducci and you’ll be able to subscribe and download all of my songs for free .
Exposed Vocals: What are some really embarrassing songs that we might find on your mp3 player?
Bonaducci : lol too many but I’ll pick a few . Sleeping with sirens-Roger Rabbit …. Uncle Cracker-Follow Me .. Ellis Goulding – Explosions .
And ALL OF THE GREASE SOUNDTRACK SONGS . Favorite movie ever btw . But I listen to all kinds of different music lol
Exposed Vocals: If you were given half a million dollars and a year off, what would you do? How would you spend it?
Bonaducci : I’d go on a tour around the world not music wise but just viewing other states and countries learning different cultures . I’d build a studio for less fortunate artist of all genres . I know how hard it is to find affordable studios so I’d make one .
Exposed Vocals: How do you find ways to promote your music? What works best for you?
Bonaducci: well I have a lot of social media friends and followers so I tend to post my music and clips of my YouTube videos on social medias and blogs .
Exposed Vocals: If you could perform anywhere and with any artists (Dead or Alive) where and who would it be with? Why?
Bonaducci : Alive – Chance the rapper . I love him and all that he stands for how different he is and just him not afraid of failure or anything honestly . In Chicago his hometown .
Eminem – should have said him
First he’s my favorite rapper alive . I can relate to the trauma he’s been through and being able to make music with the pain . Detroit his hometown .
Dead – Tupac – He’s the greatest rapper of all time . I love him I sit and watch all his videos and interviews he stood for equality. He didn’t care if you were white or black or green he said what he had to say and he did it with ease and charisma . He was so passionate about his music . Maryland , New York , and cali all places he grew up in his childhood .
Exposed Vocals: So, what’s next? Any new upcoming projects that you want to talk about?
Bonaducci: I just want to stress the fact that all of my new music creations are being recorded via video and uploaded on to my YouTube Channel – Bonaducci . I just want to urge everyone to subscribe to my channel for updates on my
Music and where I’m at in my process of getting my
Music known .
Exposed Vocals: If you weren’t making music, what would you be doing?
Bonaducci : I honestly can’t see myself doing anything other than music . But if I had to try and imagine what I’d be doing I’d be a Music Teacher of some sort teaching music wether it be instruments or theory .
Exposed Vocals: Do you remember buying your first album? Who was it? What was going through your head?
Bonaducci : my first album I bought was Eminem Relapse . I was thinking God I have to have this album I need it I love this man and when I listened to it I was so satisfied I played it over and over and over again to the point that my family got tired of it and tried to trash it I think they succeeded because idk where my
CD went …. lol
Exposed Vocals: How do you juggle the rest of your responsibilities while trying to stay ahead in your music life?
Bonaducci : I’m in the works of figuring that out now . Sometimes I get so fed up working these minimum wage jobs , long hours or seeing all the things I’d like to buy or be doing but I remind myself that I have to keep myself disciplined and I have to crawl before I walk . This music career is no walk in the park nor is going to happen overnight and I need to be mindful of that and remain patient .
Exposed Vocals: What should fans look forward to in the next year or so?
Bonaducci : they should definitely look forward to more music production in the studio instead of videos on YouTube . They should be on the look out for visuals for songs . Also they should look out for my first shows and projects .
