Palms by Scoop the Mc – Exposed Vocals Music Review
Scoop The MC is a seasoned emcee, rap artist, producer and keen businessman from South Jersey. In the industry producing and recording rap music for over 10 years now. Comes with an impressive resume’ and discography of many completed songs under his belt with many more in the making.
Known to have a ‘lyrical’ style, Scoop The MC, ‘…continues to remain competitive in the current market.’ By applying storytelling and taking full advantage of utilizing metaphors to explain and convey feelings and give vivid descriptions of real life situations as ‘a state of being’ all while being extraordinarily creative with his ‘flow changes’ blending of rhythm and tone. This also accounts for his outstanding performance and the intended direction that the featured song ‘Palms’ takes into consideration moreover, that it speaks to get the message across effectively. Palms has a rhythm and grove that is unique of its kind. In that it uses two tone of recorded methods of playback. Moreover, it’s steady, smooth and a welcomed new sound that would ‘turn the party up’ and keep it up!
The featured track is a tribute to ‘Staying on the grind’. The lyrics especially the chorus, are brilliantly executed and played out with an exquisite delivery. Apparently also performed the video and the song extremely well so much so that it seems acting and the dramatic area of screen performance exceeds that of the norm. It explains how the artist has accomplished his goals throughout his adversity and trials and yet still remains thankful for being able. “Lord I’m so fortunate I’m not porcelain…” A metaphor of how much of the sense of endurance he has had to possess to be able to withstand what he has endured. Ultimately the result is “moving on” and forward. A task most would find difficult depending on the circumstances.
Overall, the song is performed extremely well, the intermittent changes in tone keeps you on your toes and give the effect of being ‘on the go’ a type of ‘preparation’ for the unexpected. A good song to dance too with a hook that rocks!
