Hot new Interview with A.Camille

Exposed Vocals: So tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an artist?

A.Camille: I was born on the south side of Chicago but grew up in the south suburbs, Calumet city to be exact. I always had a passion for performance, and growing up watching Disney Channel and Nickelodeon made me want to get my face out there also. Sooner I fell in love with music more then acting.

Exposed Vocals: How did you come up with that name? What was your inspiration behind it?

A.Camille: Well, funny thing is its my actual name ;D Angel’Camille I shorten it to A.Camille. I wanted to be different, my friends at home call me ASAP but I can’t go into the industry with that name.

Exposed Vocals: What do you think about online music sharing? Do you ever give your music away for free? Why?

A.Camille: I feel the internet is a strong tool and i’ve seen tons of people become stars overnight due to sharing one post online that happened to go virual. If it can catch the audiences eye online it will be sent out. No, I have not anything I investing my music in payed off in the end whether its with cash or just exposure.

Exposed Vocals: Since everyone was a start-up once, can you give any smaller or local bands or artists looking to get gigs and airplay some tips?

A.Camille: NEVER GIVE UP! Nothing happens overnight, keep pushing and promoting and watch how far you get a year later.

Exposed Vocals: Do you ever make mistakes during performances? How do you handle that?

A.Camille: I’ve only had one gig so far, I stumbled over a few verses. All I did was smile and kept my energy turnt up!

Exposed Vocals: Do you tour? Anything interesting happen on tour that you think our readers would enjoy hearing about?

A.Camille: No not yet, but of course ill share once I get a opportunity.

Exposed Vocals: Where do you usually gather songwriting inspiration? What is your usual songwriting process?

A.Camille: Life experiences, and i will grab a pen and paper and ill listen to a dope beat and just vibe to it. The first feeling or instinct i get is what i usually go by and soon Im flowing out incredible lyrics.

Exposed Vocals: What are some really embarrassing songs that we might find on your mp3 player?

A.Camille: A$AP ANG x Sauce

I honestly hate this song and I could’ve sworn I deleted it off my soundcloud lol

Exposed Vocals: If you were given half a million dollars and a year off, what would you do? How would you spend it? 

A.Camille: I would pay off some my debt, help some family and friends, probably go shopping, get a apartment , charity events. Lastly save some for myself and stack it up. OH YEAH I got to release a album lol

Exposed Vocals: Any planned studio upgrades? What are you working with now?

A.Camille: I go to twitter.com/spstudioschi in chicago he is like family to me I can never switch up, He made majority of my songs what they are today.

Exposed Vocals: How do you find ways to promote your music? What works best for you?

A.Camille: Online all over my social media, I find promo connections who would get my music into the right hands.

Exposed Vocals: If you could perform anywhere and with any artists (Dead or Alive) where and who would it be with? Why? 

A.Camille: LA , NYC, ATL , HOUSTON those are the major music platform cities right now who are breaking many new artist and Id love to perform with FUTURE, Chris Brown, WIZ Khalifa, LUCCI, GHerbo, Chief Keef, TINK, etc these artist are legendary game changers and I admire their style and music ALOT.

Exposed Vocals: So, what’s next? Any new upcoming projects that you want to talk about?

A.Camille: yes I plan on releasing another single I wrote this past January called “Shot Callers” , I love being ambitious and I feel I expressed that a lot on this track. My promo video should be coming out this week.

Exposed Vocals: If you weren’t making music, what would you be doing? 

A.Camille: Working a 9-5 gatta get it some how lbs

Exposed Vocals: Do you remember buying your first album? Who was it? What was going through your head? 

A.Camille: Yes it was J.Cole’s album ” The Sideline Story” he was at River Oaks Mall in Calumet City couple years ago for a cd signing and he signed mines, I wish I could find it lol mannn

Exposed Vocals: How do you juggle the rest of your responsibilities while trying to stay ahead in your music life?

A.Camille: It gets pretty overwhelming at times, phone ringing, everyone wanting something from you or some of your time. Having to sacrifice investing in making a music video or paying that one bill, I get stressed and overthink but I pray a lot without god I wouldnt be talking to you guys right now. I take it a day at a time.

Exposed Vocals: What should fans look forward to in 2016? 

A.Camille: Basically, the major break through of female MC artist A.Camille and basically me branding myself for 2017 !!
