Exposed Vocals: So tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an artist?
YG ProB: I was borned and raised in ft. Lauderdale florida (mainly the sunrise Lauderhill area). music came naturally for me after being introduced to hiphop in 1995. I began writing poetry and short stories at the age of “7”. And you know they say poetry is the cousin of rap, so there you have it.
Exposed Vocals: How did you come up with that name? What was your inspiration behind it?
YG ProB: well “YG ProB” is short for “Yung ProB”! I came up with the name from my childhood. I was always getting into trouble or causing problems so henceforth the nickname “problem” that became shortened to “prob” then yung added because im a young individual. ” “Prob” had it’s own distinct meaning in itself…Poetic-Remedies-Of-

Exposed Vocals: What do you think about online music sharing? Do you ever give your music away for free? Why?
YG ProB: online music sharing is great for the genre in the sense of exposure and reaching the masses in a unique and convenient way. yes! I give away free music annually as a way to show appreciation not only to the genre but my fans and/or supporters.
Exposed Vocals: Since everyone was a start-up once, can you give any smaller or local bands or artists looking to get gigs and airplay some tips?
YG ProB: trust in the process of artistry and most importantly business! having the talent is only 1/3 the layout. you must first and foremost learn the business behind the art.
Exposed Vocals: Do you ever make mistakes during performances? How do you handle that?
YG ProB: very rarely I make mistakes in a performance such as skipping over or miss a line from a verse, due to high intensity and energy.
Exposed Vocals: Where do you usually gather songwriting inspiration? What is your usual songwriting process?
YG ProB: songwriting for me is a special process. when I write there is no set subject or guideline, I simply engulf my artistry into a realm of creativity that in time is the result of “ART”! which is more or less a feeling than a thought or idea stimulated by past life experiences.
Exposed Vocals: Do you have a band website? What online platforms do you use to share your music?
YG ProB: I post and publish music through popular mixtape sites such as Spinrilla, datpiff and mymixtapez!
Exposed Vocals: What are some really embarrassing songs that we might find on your mp3 player?
YG ProB: Brittany spears lol
Exposed Vocals: If you were given half a million dollars and a year off, what would you do? How would you spend it?
YG ProB: I would invest more into my music and open up a studio where I can then focus on learning more about beat production etc. I would only invest into my craft for the long run.

Exposed Vocals: How do you find ways to promote your music? What works best for you?
YG ProB: i utilize social media platforms like “twitter and instagram” and i invest into various partners and promo companies nationwide.
Exposed Vocals: If you could perform anywhere and with any artists (Dead or Alive) where and who would it be with? Why?
YG ProB: Madison square garden with lil wayne, jay-z and 2pac! i feel those are the most influential and greatest hiphop artist of my time!
Exposed Vocals: So, what’s next? Any new upcoming projects that you want to talk about?
YG ProB: I’m currently working on a few joint projects with my partner D.Balla and a few other artist from Florida. This will be the first of my branching out and mixing with other artist outside my camp.
Exposed Vocals: If you weren’t making music, what would you be doing?
YG ProB: going to school perhaps
Exposed Vocals: Do you remember buying your first album? Who was it? What was going through your head?
YG ProB: I don’t remember what he first album I bought was. But, the first album I ever had as my own that was given to me by my father was…”Tupac” (all eyes on me).
Exposed Vocals: How do you juggle the rest of your responsibilities while trying to stay ahead in your music life?
YG ProB: I plan and work ahead as if I was playing a game of chess. I really rarely have any free time leisurely. My leisure and luxury time come from doing what I love to do.
Exposed Vocals: What should fans look forward to in 2016?
YG ProB: I’m devoted to ending the year showing my versatility and creativity! So stay tuned…music videos and more blogs/vlogs to come for my fans and supporters. I’ll be displaying a new style that most have yet to see from me.
