Exposed Vocals: How did you come up with that name? What was your inspiration behind it?

My stage name was derived from my nickname Marlon which was shorten to Lan  which then turn into Lantan/Lantern like a light because of my fiery music.

Exposed Vocals: What do you think about online music sharing? Do you ever give your music away for free? Why?

 I think its good and bad,good for promotion but bad for record sales, a lot of music is now bootleg or illegally uploaded share freely this way,cutting revenue from artist and labels.

Exposed Vocals: Since everyone was a start-up once, can you give any smaller or local bands or artists looking to get gigs and airplay some tips?

Know what your niche is,feed them what they want,stay focus consistence and try to be professional at all time,keep upping your game,try to make everything you do better than the last,try to be different and have your own style,work the local circuit,its not about who you know but who knows you,if you create the right noise it will fell upon the right ear,labels & opportunities will come knocking,promoters will request you to do more gigs, media will request  interviews,airplay will get a boost,your fan base will grow.

Exposed Vocals: Do you ever make mistakes during performances? How do you handle that?

yes,the best of the best will slip up at some point,try adlibs to style it out,do not stop, to make it obvious,it may pass off without people even noticing there was  mistakes.

Exposed Vocals: Do you tour? Anything interesting happen on tour that you think our readers would enjoy hearing about? 

Yes i toured before,but nothing out of ordinary to share

Exposed Vocals: Where do you usually gather songwriting inspiration? What is your usual songwriting process?  

I gather writing inspiration from my environment,things i have experience,or i see others around me going thru. past and currents events going on in the world around us,these are stuff i use to create my stories when writing songs.i always try to make my songs topic be relevant to someone or something.

Exposed Vocals: If you were given half a million dollars and a year off, what would you do? How would you spend it?  

That is easy,i would open a performance venue with a studio on it,and dedicate free studio time at least one day a week for upcoming local talents so they could work on projects free to further themselves.

Exposed Vocals: Any planned studio upgrades? What are you working with now?  

No plan upgrades at present,i mainly work with external producers/labels at their facility

Exposed Vocals: How do you find ways to promote your music? What works best for you?

Social media i find work best and wider audience, i also find gigging and radio plays works good too.

Exposed Vocals: If you could perform anywhere and with any artists (Dead or Alive) where and who would it be with? Why? 

Bob Marley,grow up on his music.but hes passed away,it would be nice to duet and perform with Beyonce,i like her voice and energy she omits in her performances. would be great to perform a track with her at somewhere like Annual Grammys or super-bowl.

Exposed Vocals: So, what’s next? Any new upcoming projects that you want to talk about?

Currently promoting my latest release Like Fire,am always writing and recording new music so stay tune, for the next chapter

Exposed Vocals: If you weren’t making music, what would you be doing?  

Electronic Engineer or Graphic Designs

Exposed Vocals: Do you remember buying your first album? Who was it? What was going through your head?  

Yes,”Dangerous” by Michael Jackson,i was very exited

Exposed Vocals: How do you juggle the rest of your responsibilities while trying to stay ahead in your music life?  

By  Prioritising,music is my life,but you always have to take care of your responsibilities,and my music helps
