Exposed Vocals: So tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an artist?
Nathan Leaman: I grew up in a small city called Hobart. Hobart is the capital of Tasmania an island State in Australia. I am the eldest of six children. I decided that I wanted to become an artist after Listening to the song i will walk 5,000 miles by the Proclaimers while young.
Exposed Vocals: What do you think about online music sharing? Do you ever give your music away for free? Why?
Nathan Leaman: I think online music sharing is a part of the future and that it opens artist to a larger audience. I give away my music sometimes because I am only knew on the music scene and find it a good way to expand my brand. Exposed Vocals: Where do you usually gather songwriting inspiration? What is your usual songwriting process?
Nathan Leaman; Inspiration from my song writing is gained from a number of sources, from personal experiences and the experiences of friends. My usual song writing process starts with a central theme that I expand out with words and sentences that link back to the theme. I usually sit down and write my songs on my I pad or a notebook on the weekends.
Exposed Vocals: Do you have a band website? What online platforms do you use to share your music?
Nathan Leaman: My personal musical website is http://hobartbirdie.wix.com/mysite from my website you can access all my social media accounts, Instagram, Twitter and Facebook, there is also links where people can download my Albums. I share my music on a variety of platforms, including youtube you can find my music video for my popular song lost on youtube at . My music can also be found on Reverberation and Soundcloud and Instagram.
Exposed Vocals: If you were given half a million dollars and a year off, what would you do? How would you spend it?
Nathan Leaman: I would take my family on a much needed holiday and visit Nashville the home of country music to gain further inspiration to pursue my music career. I would also buy a little house and build my own recording studio, for not only my use but the use of other aspiring artists.
Exposed Vocals: How do you find ways to promote your music? What works best for you?
Nathan Leaman: I have found Facebook to be a good way to promote my music as i have over 30K followers on my fan page. I enjoy promoting my music on Instagram and not only because I also have a large following as it also enables me to connect with other like minded artist.
Exposed Vocals: If you weren’t making music, what would you be doing?
Nathan Leaman: If i wasn’t making music I would be taking photos. Photography is a great hobby of mine. Another hobby of mie is playing video games i like playing simulation games and also sport management games..
Exposed Vocals: How do you juggle the rest of your responsibilities while trying to stay ahead in your music life?
Nathan Leaman: I Juggle my music life and the rest of my responsibilities by reminding myself of the most important things in life for me my family comes first and all other things are second. I am thankful that my family are support that I get for my family and there interest in my music career.
Exposed Vocals: What should fans look forward to in 2016?
Nathan Leaman fans should look forward to new music in 2016 and also by years end a new album.
