Yo Let’s Go by Red Ryda Official Music Video (Prod. by Voss x Original Street Studios Inc.) Music Review
If youre ready to turn the party up then this is the tune that listeners would want to sing along to and enjoy. Red Ryda is an upcoming New Age Underground rap artist coming to Exposed Vocals a talented performer and an exciting entertainer from Canada. The featured music video ‘Yo Let’s Go’, is produced by The Original Street Studios the production company and record label based in Alberta, Canada. The track ‘Yo Let’s Go’, has the design of a ‘party’ tune. It does exactly that it seems. Once I played the track, for review. passers by asked ‘ who’s that?’ Just as I believe the artist intended; to capture listeners upon first hearing is the intent and the track ‘Yo Let’s Go’ does as its directed to do, entertain.
More than likely to turn the party up. Being that Red Ryda is a new artist, that has already soaked his feet in the studio with various recordings in the studio, also, he has come out with some really good music and some extremely entertaining video to go along with it. Moreover, his business savvy equals his musical genius and he has been working closely on several tracks under the same record label. Indeed Red Ryda has a professionalism about his work and the evidence is in the completed video production. Get ready for some real ‘cloudy’ photage as the video shows some content that is all around good news for the average ‘stoner’. The intro of the sound track has a sudden impact on the listener intended to give a ‘throw -back’ feel. This somewhat resembles a programmed organ- synthesizer followed by keyboards that are gracefully set on repeat. A bell-like sound that further has a tendency to resemble being lost in a ‘dream-like’ state of being. As one would feel when experiencing a ‘buzz’ and a ‘high’. The ‘cloudy’ visual effect helps to get the viewer into a relam of what being ‘faded’ truly.
The lyrics flow with a smoothness that rivals the likes of Eminem. Although a slight accent is prevalent, the point is clear. Of course what is ‘new age’ underground rap music without the exotic touch if explitives, but there are no deletions here. Overall, ‘Yo Let’s Go’ is a battle cry not for the ‘Faint Hearted’ rapper. This ones only for the brave at heart. Moreover, Red Ryda has entered the foreground to stake his claim on a seat for the ever growing list of hard core new age underground hip hop rap artists. I look forward to listening to more of the creative talents, lyrical skill and dynamic performing that Red Ryda has to offer and looking for more music from this talented performer in 2015.

Exclusive Interview:
Exposed Vocals: How did you hear about Exposed Vocals? What made you decide to sign up?
Red Ryda: I was scrolling Facebook and found Exposed Vocals on my news feed.
Exposed Vocals: So tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an artist?
Red Ryda: I grew up in Red Deer, Alberta, Canada. I also lived in Phoenix, Arizona, USA for about a year in 7th grade. I decided to become an artist around 8th grade when I moved back to Canada. I soon realized I was very talented with poetry and short stories. This soon became writing hip hop music around 10th grade out of boredom and in an attempt to escape from my personal problems at school and past events in my life. I got into drugs and gang affiliation in about 11th grade which turned me away from writing for a while, attempted suicide and commited crimes to get money. Once I pulled myself back together after numerous Hospital and Detox visits I created a movement. OSS or Original Street Studios Inc. As a way to promote my friends and I with our music, we learned how self produce and got better at writing, created a basement “studio” in my parents house and wrote for days on end we wouldn’t leave the studio. Within two years we have created a movement, a clothing line, a record label, produced all our own songs and music videos (aside from a few beats that were purchased). Now we are on board with our very own self produced debut album from our very own Original Street Studios Inc. with songs like “Strip Tha Cash”, “Run This City” and “Yo Let’s Go”. As well as help from producers like Anno Domini Nation, Sinima Beats and Voss.
Exposed Vocals: How did you come up with that name? What was your inspiration behind it?
Red Ryda: My favorite color is red, my hair is red, I bang red and I’m a Ryda. It fits.
Exposed Vocals: What do you think about online music sharing? Do you ever give your music away for free? Why?
Red Ryda: I give away any song or remix I have made to someone elses beats for free listen on www.soundcloud.com and YouTube. Search Original Street Studios Inc. On Google even and you’ll find all our work.
Exposed Vocals: Since everyone was a start-up once, can you give any smaller or local bands or artists looking to get gigs and airplay some tips?
Red Ryda: Keep practicing, write everything down, make sure you keep organized with what you want to get done, look around for one local venue spot and get comfortable with the area and the crowd. Promote your music or art in anyway possible, whether it be t-shirts, hats, stickers, graffiti, statuses, videos, songs, friends and family. Remember any promotion is good promotion, don’t worry about hate, there will always be people who are jealous of your accomplishments and want to bring themselves up by bringing you down to their level. This goes back to the practice, if you kill stages and live shows nobody is going to have anything on you to talk bad about you. Suer they’ll always find something. Don’t let them control you, wrote about what goes on in your life and make music with your experiences. Love for the game is the only thing you need to worry about, money and all that comes after hard work and dedication. One word. Success.
Exposed Vocals: Do you ever make mistakes during performances? How do you handle that?
Red Ryda: I’ve choked twice. It was my first two times on stage during Bring Ya Own Bars #1 and #2 and just recently I had my third experience at a live show during Bring Ya Own Bars #3 (shout out to Truability and Travis Omen). Long story short I forgot my verses and had to freestyle. I did it hut it wasn’t up to my expectations. So for the third BYOB I made sure I practiced and came correct. This goes back to practicing. Practice your verse and don’t forget to perform to yourself while your writing it and any time before you perform. This could be months in advance of practice for one single verse or song.
Exposed Vocals: Do you tour? Anything interesting happen on tour that you think our readers would enjoy hearing about?
Red Ryda: I havnt toured yet, still making that paper. I’m hoping everything falls together for the 2015 tour I have planned through beautiful British Columbia. Hopefully gunna do 5 cities or something just a little promo tour for the upcoming debut album from OSS. “The Reckoning”.
Exposed Vocals: Where do you usually gather songwriting inspiration? What is your usual songwriting process?
Red Ryda: The inspiration comes from my life experiences. If I’m not producing a beat to write to and record to for a specific album or mixtape, I’ll find one online and upload it as a free song for listen on Soundcloud. Songwriting process = Write, Record, Repeat.
Exposed Vocals: Do you have a band website? Do you have a Facebook or Twitter? Do you use Bandcamp, Spotify, ExposedVocals or SoundCloud to share your music?
Red Ryda: Facebook search Red Ryda, Original Street Studios Inc. and Original Street Studios Inc. – Street Gear. Twitter search @OSS_RedRyda403. I also use ExposedVocals and Soundcloud.
Exposed Vocals: What are some really embarrassing songs that we might find on your mp3 player?
Red Ryda: All That Matters – Justin Beiber. That ones for the ladies though hahah 😉 I even got that shit reposted on Soundcloud so I can bump it when I got no WiFi! :p
Exposed Vocals: If you were given half a million dollars and a year off, what would you do? How would you spend it?
Red Ryda: I would put it all into OSS and the music. Go on tour and promote the movement.
Exposed Vocals: Any planned studio upgrades? What are you working with now?
Red Ryda: I got my homies two laptops with Magix Music Maker 2014, Pinnacle Studio 17 and a Samsun G Track mic with an Audix pop filter and Sony studio over ear headphones. Upgrading to a better mic asap as well as a new computer, hopefully soundproof my booth and get some other gear and accessories to record and produce more music.
Exposed Vocals: How do you find ways to promote your music? What works best for you?
Red Ryda: Facebook, Soundcloud and YouTube. Music Videos is what I love to produce. Just being able to see it come together from the writing to recording, then the filming of the video and the editing and watching it upload then gain views is the most rewarding feeling. Just knowing fans are listening to my music and enjoying it is what I do this for.
Exposed Vocals: If you could perform anywhere and with any artists (Dead or Alive) where and who would it be with? Why?
Red Ryda: I’d have to say Las Vegas with Eminem. I love Las Vegas and I can’t wait until I’m 21 and able to tour down there. And with Eminem? Damn, experience of a lifetime.
Exposed Vocals: So, what’s next? Any new upcoming projects that you want to talk about?
Red Ryda: “The Reckoning” album. Promoted alongside The Reckoning t shirts, custom OSS stickers and a new line of hats. Locally being sold to gather enough money for the 2015 tour through BC we’re planning as our debut tour with our debut album. Check out “Run This City”, “Yo Let’s Go” and “Strip Tha Cash”. These songs will be on the album.
Exposed Vocals: If you weren’t making music, what would you be doing?
Red Ryda: I’ll always be writing music or producing. BUT, if I wasn’t I would probably be working a lame ass 9-5.. 😉
Exposed Vocals: Do you remember buying your first album? Who was it? What was going through your head?
Red Ryda: My first album was Marshall Matters Lp and all I remember is it was around 8th grade when I purchased it and this was when I first got into poetry and listening to hip hop. First thought had to be “Damn, I wanna be a famous hip hop artist”. From there it exploded, he is my pure 100% idol for this career.
Exposed Vocals: How do you juggle the rest of your responsibilities while trying to stay ahead in your music life?
Red Ryda: I write and record about everything going on in my life, good or bad.
Exposed Vocals: What should fans look forward too for the rest of 2014 and beyond?
Red Ryda: A lot more music. Keep updated with the movement. OSS | Join The Movement | New Age Underground (Hip Hop) Keep Ripping.
