Rajoch is a male pop/dance artist originally born in Cabimas, Venezuela whose musical career developed when he moved to Miami and became well known in the nightclub scene there. This blossomed into music making and this song is part of the already released album Dancing In The Shadows. His music is upbeat contemporary pop with a strong dance edge, that incorporates the exotic rhythms of his native South American roots.
Dance With Me is a prime example of these combined elements, beginning with a catchy synth riff and a thudding four to the floor beat before developing into a rhythmically complex hi hat pattern. Rajoch then enters for the verse, the first minute more of a refrain consisting of ‘Tonight…’ before it proceeds properly, the lyrics uplifting and celebratory, about looking forward to a night out with friends: “The dancefloor is calling me….“.
Rajoch has a distinctive voice due to singing in his Venezuelan accent and this adds a unique sense of personality. It is a voice reminiscent of Chico, an artist who became big in the UK with a similar sound and style, though Rajoch’s voice is more memorable. As the track progressed, I enjoyed the funky, melodic bassline and interweaving electronica melodies.
Overall, this is a great track that boasts excellent production values and has commercial appeal for radio and the perfect sound for the clubs. The Latin American influence adds a nice flavour to the mix and though the song is long at six minutes, it doesn’t drag at all, though perhaps a shorter version might be useful for radio. I can see this version being a huge hit on the dance floor though, and maybe Rajoch is on the way to becoming the next Ricky Martin.

EVERYTHING HAS A PRICE IN THIS LIFE.

IF A MUSIC IS IN MY MP3 PLAYER IS BECAUSE I HAVE CHOSEN THEM. NOTHING EMBARRASSING YOU WILL FIND THERE.

I HAVE A SAMPLE STYLE OF LIFE BUT WITH QUALITY. PART OF THAT MONEY WILL BE INVESTED ON MY MUSIC AND PART OF IT TO HELP PEOPLE WHO REALLY ARE GOING TROUGH DIFFICULT SITUATIONS, SPECIALLY KIDS. I HAVE STARTED WITH ALMOST NOTHING AND I HAVE WORKED HARD. I KNOW HOW THE MONEY CAN HELP.

IS OTHER TALENT THAT I HAVE BUT NOT BEEN WORKED NOW, DUE TO MY PASSION FOR MUSIC AND ALL THE TIME THAT TAKES TO DO IT.
Do you remember buying your first album? Who was it? What was going through your head?
IT WAS FROM THE MOVIE GREASE WITH JOHN TRAVOLTA AND OLIVIA NEWTON JOHN. BECAUSE IT WAS A GREAT MUSICAL PRODUCTION, STYLE, DANCE AND LOVE COMEDY.
LOT OF DIFFERENT KIND OF ART IN ONE PRODUCT.
How do you juggle the rest of your responsibilities while trying to stay ahead in your music life?
THAT IS A GOOD QUESTION. I DO HAVE A HIGH STANDARD OF DISCIPLINE. I DO NOT BELIEVE WHEN PEOPLE SAY “I DO NOT HAVE TIME”. IF THINGS CAN BE ORGANIZED IN A SYSTEM OF PRIORITIES, IS EASY TO MANAGE AN SCHEDULE EFFICIENTLY AND I STILL HAVE TIME TO REST AND SHARE WITH FRIENDS. OFF COURSE SOME TIMES YOU WILL HAVE TO SACRIFICE SOME FUN TIME, BUT HIGH PRODUCTIVITY IS MY PERSONAL SLOGAN.
What should fans look forward too for the rest of 2014 and beyond?
I DONT WANT TO FALL IN THE SAME PACKAGE OF MANY OF THE ARTIST, WHERE THE TENDENCY IS COPYING WHAT THE OTHER DOES.
THE BEST MARKETING FOR ME WILL BE A UNIQUENE WAY TO EXPRESS THE MUSIC. IS VERY COMMON TO FIND LATIN MUSIC THAT SOUNDS SIMMILAR TO EACH OTHER. IT IS NOT EASY TO FIND A LATIN/ELECTRONIC MUSIC. MIXING WHAT MOST OF THE YOUNG PEOPLE ARE LOOKING AN THEIR OWN LANGUAGE, WITH A REAL MESSAGE AND FUN.

From Venezuela living in Florida, it didn’t take long to realize that there was a whole world to explore that would be more accessible for the visions that were filling his head and dreams. Moving to Miami at a time when Miami Beach was the place for many young latin talented and creative people to explore their creativity in an energized atmosphere, Rajoch created a new clothing label, RJ Style, which hit the target for the young urban and alternative club chic. Becoming a well known persona amongst the Who’s Who of the Miami nightclub scene, and having an intense love of music, it was only natural that eventually the creative flow would lead here….to the debut album, Dancing In The Shadows.
With its deep rhythmic melodies, sensual hypnotic grooves and inspira-
tional lyrics, Dancing In The Shadows is sure to be more than just another collection of good dance tracks…it will be the birth of many great nights remembered because of the first time hearing that certain song, that intoxicating beat that took you….. Dancing In The Shadows.
