Exposed Vocals just caught an interview with Anthony Edmond-Pinckney
Exposed Vocals: So tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an artist?
Anthony Edmond-Pinckney: My name is Anthony Russell Leonard Edmond-Pinckney. But When singing my name is Anthony Michael. Also I am learning to play the piano, guitar and harmonica to bring something different to my music. I am influence by Traditional Gospel music/Contemporary Gospel music, Country, Jazz, Blues, Hip Hop, R&B, Classical and Opera. I like to incorporate different music styles into my music. The artists that influence me are Clark Sisters, BeBe and CeCe Winans, Richard Smallwood, The Hawkins, Mariah Carey, Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, Maliah Jackson, Donnie McClurkin, and Janet Jackson.
Anthony Edmond-Pinckney: I grew up in Philadelphia Pennsylvania and New York City. I started out singing with my brother Steve, and my sister June. It was fun and we would work on our sound as artists. But my heart was in Gospel music. Since the last time you talk to me I have audition for the Voice twice and UK Voice as well. I also audition for Mc Donald Gospel fest. What I have learned is that you need to be the best you.
Exposed Vocals: Since everyone was a start-up once, can you give any smaller or local bands or artists looking to get gigs and airplay some tips?
Anthony Edmond-Pinckney: My tips to every new artist are be yourself and do your own music. I had plenty of people try to get me to sound like other artists and do it their way
Exposed Vocals: Do you ever make mistakes during performances? How do you handle that?
Anthony Edmond-Pinckney: Everyone make mistake in singing performances being live or recording in the studio. I try remind myself that Michael and Whitney Houston would be about perfection. I want to do the same thing.
Exposed Vocals: Do you tour? Anything interesting happen on tour that you think our readers would enjoy hearing about?
Anthony Edmond-Pinckney: Not touring yet! Working on new single and new music
Exposed Vocals: Any planned studio upgrades? What are you working with now?
Anthony Edmond-Pinckney: I am going to studio this month to work on some new music. New Single and new album
Exposed Vocals: How do you find ways to promote your music? What works best for you?
Anthony Edmond-Pinckney: My music is on Sound Cloud, Sound Click, and Jamendo. I also did a live stream of me sing for the second audition for the Voice this time. I was happy because the first time I did bridge over trouble water. This time I did a gospel medley and I was sick but I was very happy to do it
Exposed Vocals: If you could perform anywhere and with any artists (Dead or Alive) where and who would it be with? Why?
Anthony Edmond-Pinckney: If I could perform any where would be in Pair France with the Clark Sisters, Donnie McClurkin, BeBe and CeCe Winans. I would also like to perform with Mariah Carey and Boys to Men

Anthony Edmond-Pinckney: Record the new single, record EP and record and Album
Exposed Vocals: If you weren’t making music, what would you be doing?
Anthony Edmond-Pinckney: I am still teaching and drawing as well
