Adam: My upbringing was a bit scattered. The first place I remember living was in a mobile home near Santa Cruz. I have two very distinct memories from my time there: they both involve me running into something and hitting my face. I still have the scars to prove it. it's no wonder I started wearing makeup.
Nicole: All-girl bands Babes in Toyland and L7 inspired me to be in a rock band. I had thought about learning guitar or drums for years but when I heard those bands I felt like I could actually do it too.
- Nicole: Everyone makes mistakes when performing, it doesn’t matter how good you are. You have to not dwell for a second and keep being in the moment. When I make a mistake live, I get a bit angry and it tends to make me play even better for the rest of the set.
- Adam: I don't have many crazy touring stories yet, but I did get locked inside Lady Gaga's trailer once while delivering a giant stuffed pink monkey. Yes, that's a true story. Nicole: I do tour with an all-female AC/DC tribute, Hell's Belles, and it gets as wild as you would expect. Especially in places like Montana and Texas. They lose their minds! I’ve seen people in the front puke, pass out, show tits, get in fights. I saw three fights in one set in Atlantic City recently!
- Adam: Asking very nicely for reviews and taking the time to research the best sources for indie artists to get their work in front of people. Nicole: I'm horrible at promotion…
- Adam: Crying in a dark corner somewhere. Nicole: Writing children’s books about phantom doggies.
- Adam: We're hard at work on our debut album, which will be out later this year. We've been lucky enough to work with Nik and Corey from Bush, Mark from Hinder, and Machine the Producer on this album, so we're very excited for everyone to finally hear it.
