Exclusive Interview with Caroline!
Exposed Vocals: So tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an artist?
Caroline: I grew up outside of Los Angeles and North Carolina. Music was always everything to me! Performing made me feel like I could finally be myself as a shy child with a lot to say. Then I hit an at the time “rock bottom” when I was in middle school and had the revelation that the only thing I really want to do is make music so might as well go for it.
Exposed Vocals: Since everyone was a start-up once, can you give any smaller or local bands or artists looking to get gigs and airplay some tips?
Caroline: Don’t be discouraged when rejected and just keep going. Also, don’t take it personally!
Exposed Vocals: Do you ever make mistakes during performances? How do you handle that?
Caroline: I definitely have. I tripped once and then sung a bridge as verse. The key is being chill about it. We’re all human and it happens to all of us. I personally just keep going and act like nothing happened. Confidence is key.
Exposed Vocals: Do you tour? Anything interesting happen on tour that you think our readers would enjoy hearing about?
Caroline: I haven’t toured yet but play lots of shows locally. Meeting people has been the best experience ever!
Exposed Vocals: Any planned studio upgrades? What are you working with now?
Caroline: I currently work with whatever equipment the producer I’m working with has but recently got a Rode mic for recording at home. It’s great!
Exposed Vocals: How do you find ways to promote your music? What works best for you?
Caroline: I like to focus on community and giving my music to people going through similar struggles that I write about. Also, performing the songs is amazing because it creates a memory.
Exposed Vocals: If you could perform anywhere and with any artists (Dead or Alive) where and who would it be with? Why?
Caroline: Madonna at Madison Square Garden because that’s epic!
Exposed Vocals: So, what’s next? Any new upcoming projects that you want to talk about?
Caroline: I’m currently working on a lot of new music, and a visual concept short for my songs to portray the story I’ve been telling for the last two years.

Caroline: Lawyer
